Doggerel overall is a pretty good album. I mean, there are a couple songs I could take a pass on, but there aren’t any bad songs on it and there are some real standout tunes like Who’s More Sorry Now? , Thunder and Lightning, and Dregs of Wine amongst others. I’m glad that it turned out to be a pretty strong release because some of their more recent albums weren’t as impressive and I wasn’t ready to watch a great band release increasingly more irrelevant albums and fade into obscurity. Pixies are far to good for that!
