Thanks. That’s very helpful. Just out of curiosity - what do you still prefer the T2 for? Just an easier-going/warmer listen?
The t4 actually has a bit more body, so I would say that’s warmer lol. It’s mainly the more relaxed sound a bit (a bit smoother), can be nice from time to time, do that’s why I keep them around
Dude in.my opinion the t4 are like listening to your t2 on high gain. I’m one to think that the t4 price isn’t worth the hype the tin hifi was sold for.
I think it’s worth it if you love the t2 and want a bit more, but otherwise you might find more with other options for the price as you say
I literally picked up a set of the iem(t2/t4) thinking it was the t4 and it was the t2. Maybe my hearing isn’t sophisticated as others but the sound between is so similar and the difference between sound are very marginal, that I advice anyone with the t2 to purchase another set of iem with a different sound signature.
i don’t know, there was a pretty clear difference to me. altho i actually kind of prefered the t2 lol so i’m probably the wrong one to ask too. honestly i think i just didn’t get used to the sound enough, should have spent more time with them
The t4 and t2 to me definitely sound different. One has a more forward occasionally more aggressive sounding with to me better Dynamics on the low end side of things while the other is constantly laid back and mostly non offensive
This rating has to be seen under the reservation that I have had the experience that ChiFi In-Ears are subject to significant qualitative and tonal fluctuations.
Yes, the T4 delivers a satisfactory level of detail due to its tonal tuning, overall it is certainly more dynamic, and there is also a useful foundation in the bass range.
But: I put his entire tonal tuning clearly too bright.
S’s, F’s and T’s don’t hurt, but they just annoy you.
Instruments and voices in front of all drums just don’t sound natural.
My very personal beginning with every headphone is the album: Sunday Night Blues Club, by Fink. A very demanding musical work, in which all frequency ranges are required extensively.
The T4 has failed, in my eyes it is simply not suitable for the long term due to its properties.
The T2 on the other hand, is clearly perceptible consumer friendly.
It does not bother and is sufficiently present in all areas of sound, provides a stage and also has a certain degree of separation of the existing artists and instruments.
From my point of view, as the owner of some high-quality in-ears, I would like to approach things from a different perspective.
If someone wants to get into the hi-fi world with in-ears, that’s a good idea.
My recommendation would be the two cans, BLON BL-03 and TinHiFi T2, so you covered both the rather audiophile, somewhat bright sound range and the sufficiently bass-oriented variant at the start.
In addition, a cable that meets your requirements and a few tips that appeal to you tonally.
Then you have a perfectly satisfactory entry-level solution for around $ 100.
After that, it is really advisable to save Your Money, because I have not found any really significantly better in-ears up to a price range of around $ 500 that would have satisfied me.
Then it goes further on with a big price jump at about 1000 dollars to notice real differences that make you happy.
Maybe that sounds arrogant, but it’s my view of things to save you from unnecessary spending money!
I really like my T2s and I’ve been looking for a little more but for some reason ignored the T4s. Some of that comes from the mixed reviews. I don’t think I’m ready to jump up to the fiio Fh7 haha. But I may get the itch and go that route instead of a closed back until the aeon 2 closed comes down in price a little. so many options lol
True., probably better to save up and get a big IEM instead of buying lots of cheaper Chifi though.
There’s so much out there, upgrading in small increments will be much more expensive so if I were you I’d save and get a more expensive set like the FH7 or the Fearless s8z and you’ll be much happier .

Yeah. I use iems a lot at work and could get my money out of them.
Exactly, I’m more of an IEM guy myself, don’t use over ears except HD650s and even then prefer IEMs.
It’s much better to go all out on an expensive set that you can have for years.

I like the portability of an iem and using them at work but I love a good headphone at home. Love my hd650s too.
Aha very nice, and yes IEMs are much easier for portability.
I travel a lot so I’ve have to use them pretty much, and headphones just aren’t as comfy for me.
Felix
I think they have better bass
They way I describe the t4 is like listening to the t2 on high gain, but bottomline the sound signature is very similar.in other words the blon03 sound signature is very distinguishable compared to the t2 and t4s,just as a comparison.
