To the world of Hi-Res Audio

You could check to see if they have a hifiman he400i on amazon, as that’s sonically similar to the 4xx if you are interested in the 4xx

I think you could get the dt880 600 ohm as well (but again a more powerful amp would be needed)

aw man i see… how long are you in Lithuania? will you be returning to EU or US?

I am basically from India. Studying in Lithuania (Part of EU).

i see. then yeah, amazon all the way

What is the real equivalent to 58x? HD650?

Unfortunately there really isn’t a equivalent to the 58x without raising price a fair bit

There is also eBay to check. A lot of 58X sell on Ebay for less than retail price brand new or used.

660s would be the close right? That’s pretty expensive.

Yeah that would be the closest but it would be pricey buying new

You guys have 4xx for $130. According to the Massdrop, the same thing for 4xx in Europe is EUR210.

Yeah, massdrop for the eu is not that great from what I have seen. How much is it for the 400i on amazon?

There is no listing of it in Amazon.de

Hmmm, well you might be out of luck for amazon or have to check other more regional websites

You could get a tin t2 iem and try that out for the time being?

You know, the Koss Porta Pro, KSC75, or KPH30i are the best price to performance headphones. Worth much more than what they sell for. I would be surprised if they were not available. Those are always a less expensive option.

They do seem to be available, but tbh I would instead get the t2, as I think they would be more up his alley

Yeah. T2 is very nice since you don’t really have to do any modifications. Plus the bass is probably better than KSC75.

That was my main concern with the koss stuff for him, since they don’t have the greatest bass response. The t2 isn’t the bassiest either, but it’s probably a bit more satisfactory than on the koss

The DT880 250 ohm premium seems to be avaliable on amazon, which would be my recommendation if you can’t get the 58x. It’s a wider headphone with great spatial performance, a balanced sound, and lots of detail. Also comfort and build are very good

Although I would stay away from the 80 ohm version. The highs were too sharp to me. But I liked the 250 ohm version.
