Sorry guys. I guess I was locked out for sometime because I am a new user.
My friend has a Koss Porta Pro. I wasnt really happy with the performance it gave me because it sounded kinda similar to the cheap in ears I currently have. If I am upgrading my listening, I really want something to blow my mind. 58x and 4xx as you guys described sounds close to what I want.
Regarding DAC, I checked amazon.de and then found that Fiio K5 and Fiio Q1 Mark ii are priced exactly at EUR119. Which is a better one?
For that price the k5 pro for sure. Itâs a great amp with lots of power. If you can get that the 880 600 ohm becomes an option
Could you check the link above. For the k5 it says, some docking station. Is it the K5 pro you are suggesting?
Ahhhh yes the k5 pro does not have a docking station
Hmmm, they do not seem to have the k5 pro unfortunately
They do have this, but it is more pricey. With the fiio q1 mk2 you wonât be able to power the 600 ohm, but the 250 ohm would work just fine
There is this though which is a good option, but more expensive, but it would power the 600 ohm just fine
Is there any alternative for a portable option? Anything that can drive 600ohms?
The xduoo xd-05 probably could if you can get it for a good price, but I donât know
What is the difference between DT880 250ohms and DT880 600ohms?
So the 600 ohm is more even with a bit more detail, but tbh if you go with the q1 mk2, the 250 ohm would sound better off of it imo
This is at 199EUR
My bad, I meant the xd-05+
That might get too pricey tbh
The plus has substantially more power
Thatâs true. I would spend more money on the Headphones themselves than a DAC.
Yeah, and that isnât the best value. I think most people woulnât notice the difference between the 600 and 250 ohm anyway, so I would just go for the 250 ohm
Also I just found out this amp is available to you, and would recommend that one instead, as I think it would be more satisfactory than the q1mk2 for the 250 ohm
I guess if I wait, they Massdrop offers 58x made in Romania. Just found this post. So i need to wait for stocks to come back. Its the same price as in US. My hopes are back up
@M0N What about the Meze 99 Neo or Noir? Those are a very nice warm headphone with detail from what I have heard, with good bass extension.
They are good, but the signature I think might not be what he is looking for. They almost have a beats or consumer tuning that I donât think is that impressive sounding. Itâs a bit of a fashion can
Weird. Zeos said they had similar frequency response curve to the Meze Empyrean.
