I think so yeah. The 58x can run off of a phone tbh, it’s not very power hungry. That or the q1 mk2 would be great for the 58x

I guess I better wait for 58X EU edition to come back in stock. It is similarly priced to the US edition and as you guys said, I guess it satisfies my need to be blown away by it. I hope meanwhile the 4XX EU edition reduces its price (210EUR).

Yeah that might be the best course of action. Meanwhile, if you wanted to try a good in ear, you could pick up a tin t2 if you wanted to, which is a neutral iem that is pretty good all around with the fit. Might be a bit bass light, but you can mod them for more bass

maaaaaan you talking about the dt880 makes me want to get them soooooooooooooooooo bad. I already love the beyerdynamic sound and out of my stuff my 770’s are still my fav headphone/iem. I think the 880 might be my endgame lol. Definetly my next thing

I personally like the 880 600 ohm the most out of beyers lineup, it’s pretty dang solid (if you have the amp)

I own the 58x and I can attest to what people have been saying: it really has nice bass which is one of the first thing that surprised me when I upgraded from my 598 which has…not good bass, but the 58x actually I think cost less so they began to be a better option imo.

If I was to describe the sound from them, it would be intimate with good imagine, clarity and bass extension. If I hear a bassy ost, I can get the “thump” feeling with enough power (I use the jds labs atom, but that is JUST an amp so maybe not what you are looking for).

Honestly, one of the best price per quality offering you can get.

do you think the FIIO dac/amp you recommended for portables would power it or the 250ohm?

I think it would, but you still might want a bit more, the topping nx4 might be a better choice in that range (or the xd05 if it’s on sale in the us)
