This is something I’ve been looking into as well as I’m headed to Tokyo next month. Looking online it seems the two popular/big shops are yodabashi and bic camera. Both of which are large electronic stores with floors dedicated to audio and displays to try out. The other I came across which seems to be good for the used market is e-earphone https://www.e-earphone.jp/

I second visiting e-earphone! I would have stayed in one of their stores longer for listening sessions which they’d be happy to even open boxes for a lot of in-store products btw but I had limited time to visit them!

I know this is a long shot but does anyone actually know anything about these campfire IEMs? It looks like they produced 2 different ones the CAM 5430 ($600) and the CAM 5423 ($1800). It doesn’t look like you can get them easily outside of japan and both are pretty different from the list price of regular andromedas even from a japanese seller. Any info people know about the tuning would be appreciated but again I understand most people have probably never heard them

thanks exactly what i was looking for considering the cheaper pair. A little above my usual iem budget but there is a certain appeal to the exclusivity lol
