🔶 Tripowin X BGGAR Mele

Not really: I listen to it balanced for now, and noticed no difference with single ended on the same source (es100). So twice the doesn’t seem to have an effect here.

How long has shipping taken for the people who’ve received their meles? Tracking says that my meles have been in one spot for 12 days now with no sign of moving and I ordered them over a month ago.

Well shit

I just have tried the mele with the best cable i have and suspistion is correct the bass and treble extension can go much further that with the stock one.

With the stock cable the bass is like being held back and cannot go to the maximum of what the driver can do.

Same with the high the stock cable feels like it is holding it back but not as much as with the bass.

The set up i am using is as below.
Iem : Mele
Cable : Custom silver gold with 3.5 with mmcx to 2 pin adapter
Dap : Sony Wm1A ( mr walkman mod neutral tuning )
Tips : Jvc spiral dot ++

Can you share the cable link?

I made it from local builder https://www.cypherusaudio.com/. I got most of my mod from him from hd6xx hybrid driver to my full moded cd900st. He uses a oyaide rhodium 3.5 mm plug with oyaide mmcx female. The silver gold cable is from him that he got from excess cable for hd800s that he was making.

Sry for the low res of the picture.

This cable i also use for my hd6xx and my other iem that uses an mmcx connector.

I have a gold + silver cable, but it changed nothing so I was curious.

I wish you can try this set up with me. I have a b test both cable on multiple genre and it sounded better with silver gold. Also got another reviewer that approves the mele.

Mele vs TC-01

It’s not that I hate Mele not at all I just think TC-01 overall better iem for my tastes and needs. Both cost 50-ish bucks and are from the same manufacturer.
When first played Mele I didn’t like it at all, maybe because my ears are used to brighter iems. Potential was there but not for me. I already decided to give them away to a friend. Then I figured lets swap the cable and tips to the same ones I use on TC-01 and these being Nicehck 16 core copper “eagle” and KZ starline tips. Things improved greatly mostly because of tips, Starlines are differently shaped and longer than the stock ones giving excellent bass response and extending upper region because they put driver further away from the ear. Now with the same cable and tips I think Mele is very good, I can listen to it all day. But for pure fun and enjoyment TC-01 are unmatched in $50 range, IMO everything sounds fantastic from EDM to rock and metal.

I’m writing this because I think TC-01 is very underrated. Currently there is a huge hype for Mele, they are very similar but TC-01 offers much more IMO.

Now go and try TC-01 you will be surprised.

Mele pros

  • nicer shells
  • slightly better, nicer looking cable
  • safer tuning for masses

TC-01 pros

  • better (imo) tuning past 2k, just more enegetitic presentation, more fun on both ends especially in high mids and treble region.
  • smaller, more comfortable shells, better for side-sleepers
  • adequate size carrying case, small and just perfect compared to oversized Mele case.

You might wanna try remove the stock mesh carefully, it can be reversed. Increases treble which seems to suit you.

Removing the mesh makes them sound radio-like and it can peak drastically at 2 and 4khz. If you know how to eq, you can fix it, my set sounds way better like this than stock, at least for my library and ears
