Yes, having both raw performance score and cost adjusted one would be ideal, but without the latter I can filter by the price in the ranking and see what is best in my price range, so that works still.
Without the first there may be situation that I can have three sets having same score of letās say 9/10 for 50$, 100$ and 200$ and then it is hard to judge whether the cheapest may just hit well above itās price range or it is just great for given MRSP if you know what I mean
learning if an iem hit above itās price range seems less usefull than knowing how much money i need to spend to improve over what i already have, if this amount of money is above what we are willing to pay then itās when we stop playing the upgrade game we are all stuck into because we humans are never satisfied with what we have.

My problem is that I donāt know if someone is going to make a Z1R or u12t for $400 tomorrow in this hobby and I end up being stuck with a thousand dollar IEM that I canāt sell used because everyone interested in IEMs knows what is what and if there is a cheaper version of the same thing they can get.
A lot of us donāt care about boutique brand names, we just want great sound to enjoy our music, but these thousand dollar brands have that tier of sound quality kept behind a gate right now. Thatās why going with the Olina is a win because itās bound to happen sooner or later. Welcome to the Game
especially with companies like moondrop and kz constantly undercutting their own lineup for price/performance
Solution is Olina. In a couple weeks you can all quote me
Haha wow thatās a fairly bold claim senhor! Iāll be sure to put the Olina to the test
I think if HBB/Linsoul make a top-of-the-line earphone that more people can afford, we are going to start seeing a lot of the big named reviewers getting nervous. Thereās only so many earphones you can say the Moondrop Aria, Kato or Variations is better or equal to.
When people hear Z1R drivers and tuning with their own ears out of a Tripowin IEM with better fit for $700 and youāre giving it a B- rating, theyāre going to start wondering why you rated the original Z1R an S+.
Letās see if price truly isnāt a factor in the rankings and reviews
Why would reviewers get nervous? Anyone offering a truly great bang-for-your-buck product should be something to celebrate for reviewers and consumers alike.
Agreed. Nothing worse than reviewing something just āmehā and that costs a kidney.
Reviewers are not always honest, there are only a few who are relatively impartial. The price plays a role in the review. But for ChiFi, there are really few IEMs that hit their price. The good thing about ChiFi is that there is a lot of variety, the bad thing is that we canāt hear all the IEMs before we buy them!
Checked my shipping status and it said it has left China.
Hereās hoping!
olina will never have the impact of the popular iems such as blon03 or zs10 pro because $100 is too much for a vast majority of users that donāt really care about sound quality. only geeks like us are ready to shell out that amount of money for minimal increments in sound quality
Power is Power
mine was order 411 and still have no confirmation
I dont think the price is the issue for the ānormiesā, since they have no problem buying airpods, galaxy buds and stuff like that. Its due to it being a wired set, most normies go ewwww if its wired.
Or to reduce the sound quality compared to our more expensive kits .
everyone understand the logic upgrade ( spend more to get better sound quality) but please explain the logic of downgrade, why buy a $100 olina if you already have a $500+ iem ?
There is no logic. Addiction to buying IEMs, a psychological problem in my opinion that most people here have. But if a person likes it, why not
Some are overpriced and some are punching above their price tier.
