My quick take on Olina. It’s such a comfortable set of IEMs both physically and in sound signature. My library can bounce around quite a bit and nothing felt “off”. A great set if you just want to listen to the music and forget about gear.

Stock cable >>>>>>> the Noire modular cable I ordered with it. It functioned fine but was so stiff that it was affecting the seal when moving around the house.

Isolation is good with stock tips, i have no time to check it with cp100 and moondrop springs but sure it is fine too.

honestly I didn’t notice much change when I added the filter. Im overall enjoying the Olinas immensely although I wish it bass levels in between what it has now and the Mele. That Mele bass is sooo nice and my daughter kept talking about how much she liked the blue on them so I ended up giving it to her when I got the Olina haha.

@hawaiibadboy mentioned tape would not be good for the driver. Are you thinking something like micropore tape?

So I did a little experimenting with tape and filters. This is by no means scientific but maybe the information will help others

Personal goal: get bass to a 6/10 where 1/10 is stock Olina and 10/10 is Mele

I didn’t have any microphone tape so I used the paper tape you wrap bandages in that seemed pretty thin

With just filter it was about a 2-3/10

With the tape over the filter it was a 6/10 however I heard some driver flex (crinkling noise) when I put them on and off on the right ear so I took that off

With just the tape it was maybe a 3-4/10 but still had the crinkling in the right ear unfortunately.

So in the end I think I’ll stick with just the filter and start tip rolling. Probably start with foam and go from there although I would prefer a bass centric silicon tip if anyone knows of one? I saw on headfi that someone got a good result with the fiio bass tips but idk if you can buy those separately
