I’m assuming the dual damper mod also removes the filter on the inside vent?

I am one of the few who really liked the BL01. For a bit of the same reason I love Oxygen too, those upper mids are going to take you to another place or will be too much. So when you scroll up and see the Olina with 2 dampers, that is much better and the rest of Olina is better in your ears. BL01 also had a fit problem and took a decent source to get it to its happy place.

So Michael touched on the story in his video last night…I went to sleep. We both have Aune B1S and when you run through that, Olina is as it should be. I also have a Q5K and ES100 and could not reconcile why it sounded so different. One of my measurements is B1S for that reason, useless but tried. So I was super hesitant to say anything at all until I was happy with it on the sources I use regularly.
Bassheads can leave the mesh on the front vent, it gives you a thick, bassy sound. Removing it opened up the sound to where it should be while still giving a slight lift from stock

Hopefully the RnD team from Tripowin will see this tuning and this could be their reference graph for their next product, but still use a more refined CNT Driver. We don’t know whether Tripowin is still collaborating with HBB or not for the next product.
With all this modding using the filters I am almost out of them

Me too…rocking BL01 more than Timeless. This is when i bought xduoo mt604 just for timeless to open up…it didnt…and i have BL01 and Faaeal pure copper cable…just connected to mt604 and fed by phone…uapp…tempotec e44 into mt604…oh this bl01 driver behaves total control in Bass unbelievable textured and tight…and tube mids and excellent 3D as well. Final E tips are just musical excellent combo until i get Olina.
Hope Olina will pair well either with e44 alone or fed through mt604.

running a planar IEM on tubes? that’s the opposite of what tubes want lol
I am not using planar with tube now…but if you read through 7hz thread lot of suggestion to pair with mt604 that is why i bought but luckily found my majic pair with them with bl01 gun.
And mt604 is not just tube but a class A hybrid special.

Long Olina journey…stuck a while in HK now in Singapore may be anotjer 2 weeks max.

Just made the Dual Damper mod (short bus mod), and man, listening to Alice in Chains’ MTV Unplugged I can already tell the Olina sound like a cleaner BL01 with a wider soundstage, better imaging and a much more precise timbre. I’m so glad this also fixed the 2k-5k peaks. I am actually impressed with how great these beauties sound off my CP100 with this simple mod. They can rumble!

Pretty crazy how close the bass and lower mids are between the dual damper mod and the Timeless
I decided to try it out although idk if I am sold on it yet. I really like the sound with just the mesh filter however I find the best sound with that setup requires volume that is one notch too high for my ears. From the shortbus video he mentioned that with this mod he could bump up the volume more without it being deafening which is true although I feel like a little bit of the excitement got sapped for me…

Vent mod is not needed/essencial. Olina is a monster stock. People are just over looking it

does the dual damper mod lowering mids/lower trebble affect the timbre ? i am happy with the bass and the timbre on olina without mod, i just want to tame the brightness
They can in specific cases with specific drivers, this aint the case.
Im still sure most people will want it stock.

Have you tried to get a deeper fit? I tried a bunch of tips and it does help if you can get a deeper fit.
