Thank you for your reply!
Canāt really understand why I havenāt compared the graphs myself. Might actually place an order and resell if I feel itās lacking something for me. Could be nice to try something more balanced to see how I like it. At the price it certainly seems to be worth a shot.
No problem.
I hope you will enjoy your purchase.
I also jumped on the band-wagon to try it myself as I currently have Moondrop Blessing 2, but I do find it a tad uncomfortable with my small ears and am sometimes a bit annoyed by it being shouty with certain tracks.
Again. Looking at the graphs, it seems that I should get a bit stronger bass (which I will probably welcome as well) and a tad tamer treble area with possibly increased Air as in any case, I donāt really hear frequencies above 15k+ well.
I am not trying to be presumptuous but with the price of the Olina keep the Timeless and get it. That is my advice to you.
Ok - does it come with lyrics scavenger hunt cards?
Everyone (including me) is so hyped about Olina but lets just appreciate how good looking and sleek O2 is for a momentā¦!
Depends on your budget but for around $200:
If you want a good bass head set: FOCUS EDM
If you want good vocals: Seeaudio Yume: Midnight
If you want a high resolving neutral set: Olina
Iāve owned the Oxygen which uses the same driver as the Olina with 97% of the tuning. Bass to me isnāt a problem, but if you want a neutral tuning with good vocals but more bass then get the Thieaudio Legacy 3, but note that the imaging, separation, and detail will be a step down from Olina based on my experience with the Oxygen and L3. That or turn on bass boost (if you have on on your amp/dac) and get the Olina.
Vocal wise theyāre in the same tier but I prefer the Midnight since it sounds more natural/smoother. Orchestral music definitely goes to the Oxygen due to its better resolution, imaging and separation. If Olina turns out to be the same (or marginally different) as the Oxygen then just buy the Olina. Fit should also be much better on the Olina.
Oxygen x Olina - Comparision
Disclaimer: Both units using Spinfits. NX7 as source to be as clean and bright I could get. Both balanced 4.4mm. Olina is a review sample and I didnāt got any kind of incentive to write anything good about it. Oxygen is a loaner set from @Tonytex_Teixeira. I have no beef in the game and up to two days ago, I havenāt heard any of them.
Placebo differences:
They are marginally the same IEM. And I really mean it. They are so close that unit variance would kick in more than any tunning or tech difference. In my opinion, there might be subtle changes, that to me are so small that Iām even afraid to point them, as they might fit under the placebo effect.
To my ears, thereās slightly more energy around 4-5k on Oxygen than in Olina. I got it right from the start, but when real testing it at home and using a spectograph, I think I found it Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run, at around 0:50 and up to 1:05. The high pitch just murders my ears on both sets, as Iām sensitive in this area, but I feel I felt it more on Oxygen than in Olina.
Stage presentation felt slightly different to me. While using Olina, during Yosi Horikawa - Crossing, the motorcicle at the start feels an hair further presented and slightly moved up, close to my eye level, which I appreciate more, but again, placebo, fit and HRTF come to mind. Imaging and pseudo 3D effect are the same and amazing on both. Same effect goes for Agnes Obel - Curse vocals.
Now, remember, everyone hears different and placebo effect is strong. Donāt trust me, just enjoy which of the two you have.
Not-so-placebo differences:
The ****** fit. Seriously, Iām triggered since the first second on Oxygen. Why? WHY?
I really hate short nozzles, and because of that I have my EJ07m in China, right this moment, to be reshelled. I just donāt like it. Itās kind of annoying actually.
Now think of a worse EJ07m nozzle and you just get Oxygen. Oh my god. Itās so bad I have to insert so deep and Iām not even sure thatās not affecting tuning for me. I just hate it, Iām sorry.
On the other handā¦ Olina is one of the best fit ever.

Anyone that claims major differences between the two will be scaming you, has beef in the game or just has a biased opinion. I donāt care who tuned it, who made it, who assembled it, whoās selling it. If itās good, itās good, and they are both great and get a big rec from me. If I had to pick one in 10 secs would always be Olina due to fit and packaging, but fit it personal so letās leave it at that.
Now, you know what else would fit nice and I havenāt talked about yet? More money on your wallet, and Olina gives you that versus Oxygen.
To conclude my thoughts, I would say, if own and love Oxygen, keep it and just enjoy it - itās great.
If you love Oxygen but canāt deal with the fit, sell it and get Olina instead.
If you have none and want a DD? Get Olina.
You are too rich and already have one of them? Get MiM Dark Magician.
Iām glad I found Oxygen later than ever, and Iām even more glad I found the better shell version of it. Itās staying on my collection to hunt the future preys. Recād as hell.
Best,
nymz, the short nozzles hater

Dang, Iām getting recommended the DM even in Olina thread
Guess I donāt have a choiceā¦ EJ07 + Tea2 then DM it is.
Gonna give Hana2021 to my cousin and get the Olina to support @hawaiibadboy
Ah so this is where the Olina guys are hanging out and able to talk more? Iāll share some photos and my measurement here then before the actual review goes live on Feb 10.
Iām pumped for your full review! Do you have the Oxygen for comparison?
Afraid not! Only Tanchjim here is the Hana 2021, and thatās yet to be unboxed even.
Thanks for putting in all this time! Will there be more impressions over time?
If you are referring to me, I mentioned my Olina review should go up on Feb 10 if all goes as planned. Thatās the day I was requested to post the review and any impressions.
Well this was enough for me to pull the trigger! I hope they donāt take forever to get to me once they ship cause idk if I can handle that wait!
Hmmā¦ The sub bass area give a flat line and not down. What eartips do you use?
Welcome to HFGF! Thanks for sharing. Yes, this is where all the cool guys have been hanging. Great to see big names chime in
