Maybe some more juice, but Iām about ready to full review it
I always use the stock tips and cable, and in this case it was the grey tips in size M (left in the image below):
Sub-bass extension in a frequency response measurement can be down to many things, including the actual coupler itself, as well as output impedance and power output from the source. Only way to tell is whether other measurements from another person consistently have sub-bass up or down from others.
3 letters here, not exactly a big name
Thanks for the welcome!
Thanks for your answer. Waiting for the full reviews .
Huummm maybe you need more bass than Olina. Depends on your budget, let me know.
Same as Mele. Average to below average since they dont fill your whole ear like the pseudo CIEM style.
I donāt have Olina but Oxygen and this is correct, the sub bass rolls of a little bit so there is not a lot of rumble but thereās plenty of bass and warmth for hip-hop.
Hey nymz,
I do understand that the bass will be lesser with the Olina but I think it might be worth a shot for the price. Almost pulled the trigger like 10 times already
Otherwise IĀ“ve been looking at the Kato (seems just OK?), OH10 (heavy and comfort issues) and Timeless (soundstage and fitting) and others around that pricerange, but every IEM seem to have its quirks.
Oh, for sure. Donāt get me wrong, its more than I need for my library. But usually when people ask for bass they want CRA level
Buy it, itās great. You can tag me if you hate it
I was actually surprised how great it is. Crystal clear, but with thickest note weight Iāve heard so far. Def better than Starfield. I havenāt heard O2 though.
Iād say the Kato is more than just OK lol and actually unexpectedly the Timeless fits better on me than the Kato. K has this hover were the body is too small to nestle in my ear so the plugs feels like theyāre holding the iem up if that makes sense. I have the B2 and as much as I like it my favorite is the Kato. For what itās worth Crinacle rates the Kato and Oxygen as strong B+ Iems. So if I were you Iād stick with the Olina imo. Unless thereās a concern for the kind of signature you want. The K timbre is really nice but I imagine thatās the same for the other one. K has a really clear presentation of everything with good separation. And the bass dynamics (I think Iām properly putting it not sure) are nice although I imagine the mids are better on the O2? Idk. Canāt go wrong with the Olina or Kato is what Iām saying and the Olina is half the price.
Kato has similar bass as Olina. Olina is like Kato but better tech. If you want more bass then go OH10 if you donāt mind fit and comfort.
Personally Iād get Olina.
Reminder that the Olina starts shipping in 2 days! Iām order ~200, so letās see how quickly linsoul can fulfill the pre-orders
Just put in my order for the Olina. Pretty sure Iāll be more than satisfied. Now I just need to get a hold of Linsoul and change my shipping choice. Forgot to check the box for express shippingā¦.
Thank you for your input everyone! Now begins the wait
It seems you are everywhere @nymz.
Just like what I did before, chose S12 over Timeless, maybe I should get Olina instead S12?
So many new products
How is Olina for classical music (piano)?
HBB said its good for female vocals, which is my cup of tea.
Speaking of tea, do you think its 200$ better than Olina?
For classical Iād do Olina due to tuning and DD timbre.
Regarding Teas, Iāll most likely mark them both at the same level.
I still prefer Teas vocals and tuning, but if they are worth 200 more? Check paragraph above
Tea2 seem to be a different breed, but I have yet to try them.
Great times for budget brackets. Good luck beating Olina soon.
Thatās what my gf says. (sorry I could not say this )
What do you mean by everywhere?
just ordered
Not sure what did your gf mean, hopefully not something kinky
Itās just whatever i read, thereās your post somewhere down the line.
I hope Olina can keep my hands out of my wallet for a while.
Ahah, true, Iām omnipresent, but my bed misses me. Iāll sleep later in life
Congratz on Olina, itās
