I got my 1st retail sample before release and ripped it off after becoming convinced it was glued inside or something.
I had a 2nd set but 1st sleeve was rage ripped

+200pts. for Jerry

I was listening to Ripple over and over at the last stages of this final version.
Rock on bro!

I would take you home

Would Olina be a great match for a Sony NW-A45 DAP (with Walkman One custom firmware)? Better with Shanling M3X or Hiby R3 Pro Saber?

Haha! It was a real test of my patience that I failed Miserably at! Didn’t help I was a few beers deep. They got here earlier in the day but I had to be a Jedi and hide them til the wife went to bed! So didn’t get to Play with them until later in evening. Just didn’t want to hear the obligatory “another set of those?!?, how many does that make now?”

If they get here and she doesn’t see the package, she has NO clue!

I actually fell asleep with them in my ears. Was watching the UFC card and jamming out. Slept
Like that all night! They are really comfy.

American Beauty is getting played today! I listened to some live stuff last night to see how they would do and they handle that shit man! One of the first things I play when I get an iem is the Sugaree from Grateful Dead release called To Terrapin from 5.28.77. The first 11 mins is some of my favorite stuff on earth. It rages. The music gets busy and these did great.

It was rough! Also a test of my patience, but I passed this one. Unlike trying to remove the outer sleeve from the box.

Ok. I think I had my VPN on from a Canadian IP. BTW, I am considering getting a powerful portable amp. I was leaning towards the Aune B1s, but someone suggested the Topping NX7. Do you guys have any thoughts, opinions or perhaps first-hand experience with either one of these amps? I have a number of over-ear headphones and a growing roster of IEMs.
Really digging the Olina and RU6 on this album

Thanks y’all.

maybe we should stop thanking hbb for bringing olina to the market because hbb and tripowin are making more money from olina than from mele (olina drivers are $27 a piece
 you can do the maths).
the one thing hbb and tripowin had to do was the acoustic tuning and damping and they partially failed because a lot of us recognise that if olina is fine stock, it is better with the double mesh mod. (not to mention they did not fix the water condensation issue that was already known from mele ) we all know no iem is perfect, i keep my olina so like many of us here, i enjoy it - but please no thank you to the chef for a half baked cake !

you must be very focused to abstract all the external noise and movements in the gym, i am not able to attain such high level of concentration, so we are all different. but don’t you have any noise shutting down problem with olina mesh being clugged from water condensation while you exercise ?

I do not hear any noise with my wireless, they have such a good seal i don’t need to turn on anc

Going to disagree with you there.

Not better with the dual filter mod to my ears and library. Also seems a bit of a sweeping assumption to state " a lot of us " - how many is a lot and who are “us”?

Plus not to mention Olina at $99 vs O2 at $269.99 - no question for me where the bang for buck sits, even if you think the Olina isn’t quite as good as the O2.

I have no idea of the cost of the CNT DD, but even if you are correct with your $27 adding in the cost of the other raw materials and manufacture of the shell, faceplates, cable, tips, case and the packaging - I would be suprised if the retail markup is much more than between 2-2.5. And that probably doesn’t include whatever time input from HBB, Linsoul, Tripowin to tune and iterate/refine/change the shell internals.

Sorry you seem to experience condensation issues - I haven’t had any with the Mele or Olina.

To use you cake analogy for me, for the money these are triple chocolate cake with chocolate icing and brambles (blackberries) on top. This is in mho, which is just different from yours.

sure we all hear different things and i am happy for you that you enjoy olina stock but a lot of reviewers had similars complaints about olina mids being very forward to the point of being fatiguing/aggressive/shouty/hot. about “us” i was referring to people who wrote their impression of olina on this forum or headfi forum.

Most of my IEM’s (6) are metal shelled which I prefer and I’ve never experienced condensation problems although I don’t own Mele or Olina.
