🔶 Tripowin X HBB Olina

I’d expect that guy gets a refund.
If he is a verified purchaser he should be getting a new set or a refund :+1: :notes:

That sucks but that’s not a ‘review’ it’s a logistics complaint :man_shrugging: hope it gets sorted tho :+1:

Regarding QC: I noticed my olina has a scratch on its faceplate, too. I don’t mind it at all, and noticed just because I paid attention to it. But it seems I’m not the only one, so I guess it would be worth reporting to tripowin.

Good to get some consensus from various reviewers:

Pros: natural timbre, good sparkle, great staging
Cons: can be a bit aggressive in the treble (this isn’t an issue for me)

Is it boticeably better sounding than M3X (I mean based on memory probably)?

Yeah I have fairly noticeable ones on mine. Somehow the resin polishing quality is lower than the Mele.

Way more, yes. I think I might prefer N3 Pro to my other sources, but keep in mind honeymoon period.

It’s incredible, bro!

That is bad. It could theoretically replace all sources needed in my case as portable DAC amp, but the price is crazy in my opinion

Keep an eye out, I will be back full force with a mini review on it as well.

Im getting Cayin Ru-6 r2r as at least three people I trust swear by it. Im just not the biggest dongle fan, but I can make it work :stuck_out_tongue:

Currently flying with N3 Pro (still solid state only) and Olina on this album:

Howdy, just dropping by to praise the Olina. Great Job on the tuning and all. I use them stock and like them as they are. They are a fantastic allrounder set. All music genres I throw at them perform well.

Pro budged tip: Chord Mojo with the bluetooth module xDuoo XD-05BL Pro (54 €). Works flawless.

I bought the Olinas strictly for work as a budget set for when im in the field

I do like the quality for just a C Note
And the shell kinda reminded me of my u12t when i had it, that solid metal feel.

I use this set for my Hip Hop Library (90s to early 2000s) and i find that its good but not quite there for me in the bass dept. until i applied the bus mod and now these are what i wanted.

The problem was the volume, when i raised it the treble got piercing for me but the mod curbed it and elevated the bass to a good level.

These are gonna be used for my Hip Hop collection so this may vary depending on what listen to. I will try later on my EDM collection and alternative music to see how it translates.

Ok. Long time subscriber of HBB’s YouTube page and lurker here. Figured this is a good time for a first post.

FINALLY got the Olina after 5+ weeks. Took a month to clear customs leaving China. I have been chomping at the bit to get them and boy they do not disappoint! Popped on the “new iem” setlist and boom first song, I cried! Then 2 mins later was up dancing around the house with my dog looking at me suspiciously and like she wanted me to attack me to protect the sleeping wife and kids upstairs.

The last set that made me weep and dance were the Teas! #TeaCult member here.

These things are sweet like the titty!!!(apologies if offensive to female posters here). These things are amazing. They are beastly as is, but may try one of the mods for a lil more sub bass to see if it tickles my fancy.

The only “complaint” I have at this point was getting the outer sleeve off the box. It felt like someone was fuckin with me. After 10 mins I just went full savage and ripped it off. See last pic for how I felt about that.

For $100 these are game changers. Thanks Chris!!!

Hope y’all are enjoying this lovely Saturday.

I’ve been tip rolling for the past few days and I have settled with the inverted large regular bore tips with no filter mods. To my ears, they seem to be a happy medium between stock olina and the dual filter mod (stock vocals were too forward, dual filter mod was too mid bassy and vocals were kinda suppressed). I feel more soundstage with these tips over the included wide bore tips (idk why lol). Only caveat is that they’re slightly sub-bassy, but it doesn’t seem to detract from the other frequencies which is good enough for me. Really happy with this setup. :grimacing:

Did the Olina go up to $128??
