Glad youāre enjoying them! Iād recommend trying Tanya filter mod before you try double mesh mod - itās more of a hassle to remove two mesh filters than one haha. Iām using Tanya filter and donāt experience peaks, but I donāt listen at very high volume.
Tips are very subjective, but since you asked, Iāve settled on kbear07 as it gave me the best fit with medium bore. Iāve tried Azla SednaEarfitLight, Spinfit CP100, CP145, Aladdin stock tips, and either didnāt get a good seal or didnāt like the sound sig as much.
Found them, looking good. Never used foam tips and was considering for comfort. I have kindda small ears and canal. But when I use smaller tips, canāt get a good seal. When I use larger ones, they start to hurt. Are kbear 07s soft enough?
same thing with my tips experience on onlina, hard to find one that seals without hurting after a few hours. whith other iems such as fh3 i can put almost any tips and i get a perfect seal and comfort. so olina is not as bad as blon03 regading fit but it is not olina strong point.
Iāve come a long way with a choice of proper tips for me, and found that Ackustune AET07 and itās clones, KB EAR A07 or BGVP A07, bloated bass, so I damp it with foam inserts.
Right now Iām checking the funny silicone tips from Timeless, that one that looks like foam tips. Too much bass for me but provide a lot of fun and warm to sound.
Hekili and Olina are my endgames. Olina on the Utws5 for working out, Hekili with the BTR5. Hekili for me a 10 and Olina an 8 or 8.5. Hekili so much better than the variations, my god. Also, Olina for the price is insane.
Oh, Iām just comparing the Hana for the heck of it. The $100 comparison will be mainly between the ER2SE/XR and Starfield/Aria. The Olina has been very great so far
Tanya filter on nozzle (thanks to shortbus) and 1 Olina filter on front vent is even betterā¦this iem is excellent for customization along with tips for various tastes with high quality driver. This mod is lean on warmer side which i like with improved note weight also male vocal is meatynow.
I am back to faaeal pure copper cable which is more transparant and also final e tips.
Many thanks to Chris and also the community for helping each other to extract best value according to their tastesā¦who is willing to mod tip roll etc.
I saw a vendor sell them on aliexpress for about 9$ but has suspicions about if they were genuine so went with a brand new tanya instead which come with filters for 22$ (I paid 19$)
Iām still expecting mine, but there are people who applied and shared their experiences above. From what I saw on the graphs, it is pretty similar to dual filter mod, but without the condensation issue. I saw some moisture at the perimeter of the nozzle after listening, say, half an hour. There wasnāt any issue with the sound but just wanted to be safe.
@Nyanmin if in the US, watch Amazon. I kept checking over the course of a week and eventually found a seller for the Tan. Tanya. For $21, worth picking up the iem for the tips and filters alone.
I donāt know what qualifies as budget, the standard CP100 is probably one of the most popular tips here. I am a big fan of the Spinfit CP100+, which is just a different plastic ( I can usually get 2 pairs on Amazon for $9-12 ).
