Tube/Passive alternatives to the Schiit Freya +

Are there any alternatives to the schiit freya + with balanced i/o a passive volume attenuation and tube mode?

The hard part is finding something with both the option for tube and solid state modes. Perhaps use the ifi Ican pro as a preamp? Not many things come to mind off the top of my head. Perhaps split your source output and send one split though a tube buffer and to the preamp and the other just directly to the preamp and switch inputs?

Yeah that could work. A high end buffer and a passive preamp with multiple inputs
Or maybe a buffer with a pass through mode

My reasoning is predominantly the gain issue on the freya +

Not balanced but this looks cool. Has a bypass mode too

I’ve actually heard some bandwidth gear and it was pretty nice, didn’t know they made a preamp like that though

I’ve heard the Bandwidth stuff and it is nice.
EDIT:
Oops, Sorry, The Decware is NOT the same as what you asked about, my bad…

*I also very much like the Decware stuff https://www.decware.com/newsite/homepage.html.
https://www.decware.com/newsite/ZTPRE.html and there is a German brand that I’m trying desperately to remember and can’t :rage:

I really like the look of decware’s stuff

My old CSP2 is honestly my favorite and the most useful piece I own. Someone mentioned them, I purchased a used one and now I’ve become a real fan of the product. Prices are “reasonable” (relative term) and sound is much better than the “low” prices would otherwise be indicative of.
In my case I really appreciate and use the individual gains and the other features my amp has to the max, hell I even use the mono to help me get my soundstage exactly where i want it. Great stuff, my highest recommendation. Check them out and read more about them.
