I’ve been looking to purchase a set Sennheiser HD660s’ and have found that up in Canada, there seems to be… difficulties getting them on Amazon. There’s a reliable Hifi Shop where I live that sells a pretty wide range of Headphones and a good website. So I go on there and I find a listing for a reasonably priced (3rd party sellers on amazon wanted 800-1000) for the pair, but it’s “coming soon.”
The website states that there is a revision of the 660s called the V2, which according to the site is gonna be exactly the same save an improved headband.
Were there problems with the 660s’ headband? I don’t really have any speculation. But it seems interesting to bring up nonetheless. I’ll probably end up waiting for them because they have the best price anywhere for them at the moment in Canada.
Yeah. It’s weird. While I take it with a grain of salt, this store’s been around a very long time and are pretty well loved in Toronto, so I doubt they’d pull anything on anyone.
Either way, there’s a good chance I’ll wait for Amazon to have a reasonable priced pair, because there is an Amazon locker in the lobby of where I work and I can just buy them and pick them up on my way out.
I would guess that they might have added the v2 to the wrong product by accident. Must have misunderstood which was getting a new revision. It would be very unlike senn to add a v2 to anything imo
Yeah, so I would say you are safe with any 660 lol. They said everything else was the same. Think its because that your thumb might more commonly rest there first
Has there ever been a Sennheiser headphone that kept its name even after it was significantly modified/returned? IIRC the brands that like to change a product significantly while keeping the name are Hifiman and Audeze.
