Though I was wondering if it might be a mobo grounding problem? Apparently similar issues have happened to some people.
Ive seen it happen in which a usb hub solved the issue somehow for a dac.
how is the heresy connected to the system is connected to the enog or hel?
Setup is:
Enog via optical to PC. Hel via RCA to 3.5 to the Enog. Hel and Enog plugged into same power strip PC is. Hel also connected to PC via USB.
Enog via optical to PC. Heresy via RCA to Enog. All three connected to same power strip.
Also, I tried 3.5 directly to PC. Same problem. Popping and buzzing and humming.
Given you getting the noise off a 3.5mm to RCA from the PC , assuming if you wire the Hel the same way it doesn’t do it, I’d press Schiit to fix it.
At that point you’ve verified the simplest wiring you could do and eliminated any other components.

For future buyers reference for the Hel. Just now realizing there is a significant difference between the Hel and Heresy as amps (which is part of the reason I got the heresy since no one had said anything online about a comparison afaik). Hel is not nearly as powerful, and it definitely does not feel as wide or defined as the heresy. Much better than default system audio, but not nearly as good as the heresy’s sound when it was working. Bass is 100% punchier though.

I have gotten the replacement amp while the Heresy is out for repairs.
Sounds and looks fantastic with the Enog and Sundaras. Not gonna compare it with the Heresy yet, since I evidently got a schiit unit. The Archel seems to have a very different sound from the Heresy I had hands on though. Am liking it very much so far 
Also, yet again, the folks at Geshelli made it real easy and a very pleasant experience. Gotta give credit where it’s due.

Thanks . I think the funniest thing I read is that Geshelli never had anyone request orange paint before and were like, “This actually looks amazing, good call”. I’m more surprised no one has ever asked for an orange paint job.
