USB Switch. One Source 2 DACs

I use my iPad as a streaming source which has USB out. I also own more than one DAC. Has anyone here used a USB Switch to flip between two or more DACs?
I don’t see any reason why this wouldn’t work but I’m curious if anyone has a similar setup and had any issues?

Thanks in advance :metal:t2:

I use a usb hub now and am happy with it. Just make sure it’s powered.

Yep I also use several DACs on a USB hub that uses USB C and plugged an optical USB cable going to it. There’s rocker switches to A/B but a cheap hub is really convenient.

Hey Lasher,

I haven’t used a USB switch for DACs, but it should work fine if the switch handles USB audio well. Some cheaper ones might cause noise or connection issues, so checking reviews is a good idea.

Are you switching for sound differences or just convenience? Let me know how it goes! :metal:

why not get a cheap streamer like the Wiim mini and then use the optical out from that into a splitter and then into your various dacs? its what i do and it works great

I use one of these and it works great.
