Trying to find some go-to heasphones for vocals and podcast and youtube stuff listening, and tv series…so yeah vocals mainly…so im searching for a beast for doing just that…but my hd 660s aint cutting it…they are brilliant and i can wear them for 12h straight but still i need something like that but a little more life in them.Nothing too sibilant and nothing that costs over 500$.
Not sure if you heard about the Cleer Next, they are said to be very detailed and good sounding… but seems like they are outside of your price range.
If you specifically want studio-grade headphones - Ollo Audio S4X may be the thing you are looking for. It’s just under your budget.
Actually you might find the love in the Phonon SMB-02 - widely unknown headphone, but outstanding. Have a read: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/phonon-smb-02-holy-grail.627930/
It’s far below your budget, so you will save yourself quite some money
What sources are you using to drive your headphones? Maybe try to catch the Focal Elegia next time the Adorama deal rolls around for $429? They have a great neutral tuning that doesn’t mask midrange in favor of treble “detail” or exaggerated bass. They are not source picky, and they are closed back so they isolate you from the sound around you which can be beneficial at times. And they definitely have some “life” in them in my opinion. Focal dynamics are a fun listen.
