Strange Little Girls is a concept album released by singer-songwriter Tori Amos in 2001. The album’s 12 tracks are covers of songs written and originally performed by men, reinterpreted by Amos from a female point of view.

I enjoyed ‘Rattlesnakes’

The song Bad Company? From the album Bad Company? By the artist Bad Company?
(Sorry I couldn’t resist, it’s been a running gag with an old friend)

I first heard it on a long-running playlist and thought it was Metallica covering Bad Company, Bad Company on Bad Company by Bad Company

Rick and I are the same age. I grew up near Lake Tahoe way back when AOR was dominate on AM radio. Riding the school bus an hour each day I got to hear all of these tracks between the age of 7-10.

Kids these days won’t ever have an experience like this…unfortunately.

I listen right now the sainyara song by tanishk

Vol 2 is just as good. Deep cuts but not off the rails you know when there was just a little too much inebriation.

Have you listened to her release of last year?, it’s well worth a listen

Yes, thanks, I haven’t been back to it since shortly after release…

I wish I liked this more than I do. Felt the same about Out of Season. But keep coming back to Dummy and Third.

Today’s album listens were
Nick Cave - From Her to Eternity
Actress - Дарен Дж. Каннінгем (his stuff has been increasingly hard going over the years)

Dummy is desert island for sure for me

I saw woman sing in a smokey little ‘jazz’-club in SLC that sounded like her mother or grandmother. Could be as it was ~86.

Saw Dave Lindley & El Rayo-X at the same place…only held about 50 people with standing room. 12 or so 2 tops. Guy on the mixer knew how to just nail the best sound making the most of the 6’ ceilings. It was in the basement of an old brick building not far from downtown. Probably built in the 17th century or beginning of last.
