What are you listening to right now?

In 1984 I was in high school working at a local record store. New Age was all the rage and ‘acceptable’ to play in the store…unlike most of the punk I listened to and show I went. Back then I didn’t really appreciate Michael Hedges but I certainly do 40 years on.

One man blackened death metal HAIDUK

One of my favorites by Dua Lipa plus this performance is simply next level.

Just a quick question:
Why is this thread being used now and not the original " What are you listening to tonight?" thread ? I’m not sure where I should be sending these posts…
I’m just curious…

Her take on Arctic Monkey’s “Do I wanna know” is one of my personal favorites. Her vocals are great!

It’ll End in Tears is the first album released by 4AD collective This Mortal Coil, a loose grouping of artists on the label brought together by label boss Ivo Watts-Russell. The album was released by 4AD on 8 October 1984

Elizabeth Davidson Fraser (born 29 August 1963)[1] is a Scottish singer. She was the vocalist for the band Cocteau Twins who achieved success in the UK primarily during the fifteen years from the mid-1980s to the late 1990s. She also performed as part of the 4ADgroup This Mortal Coil, including the successful 1983 single “Song to the Siren”, and as a guest with Massive Attack on their 1998 hit single “Teardrop”.

LOL I have been wondering the same thing! I do most of my listening at night anyway, so I tend to stick with that one.

Shirley Manson of Garbage interpretation. Not sure I dig the arraignment or not but it’s worth a listen.

Interesting fact, Garbage’s lineup has remained unchanged since its origin in 1993! Not many bands can say that anymore.

Born in '66 this was perfectly timed for my junior high school years. Last one before we lost Bon Scott.

A classic. But “Let There Be Rock” and “Powerage” were better.

Kat Factor vocals, but Slips Away sounds like Kat Edmonson. Walking on the Moon doesn’t credit Sting/Police either…hmm. No one is created in Roon unfortunately.

Produced by Rick Rubin, this Donovan album from 1996 didn’t garner the attention of his earlier works but I think holds a place with the best of his works.

I’ve been waiting for this to be released (dropped today). I am just now getting time to listen to it.
It’s also an example of why I hang on to my Amazon HD subscription because sometimes albums are released that qobuz doesn’t have yet.
