Had a pretty wild day today, so I am sneaking in a short session. I pulled out an old favorite.
Growing up in the '80s not far from Sacramento I got to partake in a number of shows, hard core punk shows, mostly at a short-lived ‘club’ known as Club Minimal. It was really just a narrow slot of a brick mini warehouse space. Agent Orange and Subhumans are two of the standouts I remember and still listen to all these decades later.

Minor Threat didn’t make it that far west, or I missed it, but it’s what I’m listening to right now.
After Club Minimal closed or rather got shutdown a new place on K Street known as Club Can’t Tell kinda took over and did a much better job drawing in acts and promoting them.
Oh man those were the f*cking days. Warm summer nights not far from the Sacramento River bluffs; mods, skinny thrift store ties and Doc Martins were all the rage. There were always Vespas around to get a ride…
Nice. You jogged some fond memories. We used to cruise J Street back in the day. Oh, the stories…
Their best ballad, with ease. Liam’s voice was at its peak in this tune – the perfect blend of tenderness and rasp.
Right? His voice on this one is next level. Just hits different.
Happy holidays to those that celebrate it and for those that do not, I hope you are able to enjoy some relaxing and great music-filled time off.
Rather than post a current track that I have playing, I wanted to share one of my go-to relaxing (and lengthy) holiday music selections. Hope you enjoy!
Band formed in 2016, first album in 2020, from Brooklyn. They sound like they should have been making music in the early '80s. Well recorded, enjoyable stuff. Simple, easy.
