What are you watching (movies / tv) thread

We have been binge watching House. Great show. He is such an ass!

And they used some incredible music too in some key moments. The ending to season 4 really stays with you, in no small part due to the choice of music.

Totally agree. I wonder if there is a House sound track album of some kind…

Too bad they decided to squeeze it into just one 10-episode season. Only 4 left now. :frowning:

Agreed and certainly taking my sweet time watching it.

Getting deep into House. We just started Season 6

The opener was a 2-parter, and I gotta say, I thought that was a powerful story. Extremely well done. I’m not sure they write like that anymore.

Sitting on top of my HK Triad/Crime movie collection is this gem. Classic Woo… :clapper:

Huh, I was wondering why I wasn’t hearing anything good whatsoever as season 1 kept going and going - they didn’t get that good-music idea until season 2.

Wooow, I just reached S6 E15 and found the dialogue piece at 21:57 - 22:12 that was used in this sweet little chillout song I’ve had in my collection since 2020:

Currently watching Nasa SpaceX Crew-10 get ready to dock with ISS. 23 minutes. SO far so good, launch was really good.

Brutal. One of the best since “The Silence of the Lambs!”

Random find last night, SuperBob starring Brett Goldstein. Easy watch, silly fun stupid. Brett went on to star in Ted Lasso and is f*cking hilarious if you get him

Just finished Severance season 2. Really liked the first season, and season 2 did not disappoint. I do think it is a show that you either love or hate, but at least for me it has been one of the best shows the last few years. Love the strange world the series has created visually (and conceptually) with a mix of modern and “old school” technology. Like, they have modern smart phones, but everyone drives old cars, you have CRT monitors but there are lots of futuristic tech also… And it has a good soundtrack. Highly recommended

I was hopeful and fearful for season 2, as a number of great shows hit a wall after the first season (probably cases where the original writers didn’t provide material for more than 1 season), but Severance managed to keep the good writing going and even left me on edge waiting for what will happen in S3. The only significant negatives for S2 I would say were a couple of terribly slow episodes where barely anything happened - those could’ve been handled better. But overall this story has surprisingly managed to continue adding more intrigue to the existing intrigue from S1, it’s been a treat.
