Homeland
Watchmen
Game of Thrones
Dexter
Ray Donovan
True Detective S1
The Expanse
The Boys
The Mandalorian
GOT (S1-S5) Factor in the next 3 seasons and I hate the show.
Better Call Saul (obvious)
Breaking Bad
Cobra Kai
Arrested Development
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Battlestar Galactica
Black Mirror
Westworld S1
Haunting at Hill House
Lost (when it was live)
The wire is suppose to be the greatest show in TV history. Couldnt get into it, picked through the series still no go. Sopranos fan, could you be both ?
Seinfeld
Mad Men
24
Futurama
South Park
It can be boring at times.
I donāt consider Breaking Bad to be that good. I watched until season 5 couldnāt continue after that.
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea
Land of the Giants
The F.B.I.
Hawaii Five-O
Rockford Files
Honorable mention: Six Million Dollar Man
In no particular order
The Wire
Lovecraft Country (perhaps a bit soon to be sure)
Deadwood
Boardwalk Empire
House
GoT
Stranger things
Black Mirror
The Witcher
Queenās Gambit
The Shield, The Wire, Deadwood, Twin Peaks,
Then I donāt know what to do with the last slot. Arrested Development maybe, because we need a comedy?
Donāt know if this is within the rules for current shows, either.
Canāt believe no oneās mentioned Mr. Robot. One of the markers I use to judge greatness is whether or not I find myself watching episodes over again a day or two later. I also weigh heavily shows that had purpose, a story arc with character development and characters that I loved or loved to hate. Thatās why these are on my list. No particular order.
The Expanse
Better Call Saul
Breaking Bad
Boardwalk Empire
Mr. Robot
Mad Men
The next rung would include shows that were great, but then corporate greed took over or writers were let go or they had a show that would be benefited from being a 3 season endeavor and stretched it out way longer than needed. Or simply just phoned it in after a while.
Orphan Black
GoT
Dexter
The Sopranos
Killing Eve
I never got around to watching The Wire.
Iām purposely leaving comedies like Curb Your Enthusiasm and Seinfeld off the list because comedy is an entirely different set of rules but they do belong in the all time greats list.
Definitely agree with GoT.
Iām a avid animated and comedy watcher so
- Futurama
- Avatar the last Airbender
- The Boondocks
- SouthPark
5.Eric Andre show
Special mentions are Modern family a show I adore for not being bland the whole time it aired and not overstaying itās welcome and Brooklyn nine nine cause itās just an instant classic
Deadwood
The Wire
Stranger Things (Season 1)
Carl Saganās Cosmos
and the undisputed best:
The Simpsons (Seasons 2-6)
All time or just now? Does streaming (Netflix, Amazon Prime) count?
All time (just cable and network TV):
- The Wire
- Breaking Bad
- Mad Men
- Friday Night Lights
- Halt and Catch Fire
People love that wire.
