What car do you drive?

Do you like cars? What car do you drive?

2005 Honda S2000. Bought one owner used many years ago. Old-school build quality has led it to being super reliable, still looking fantastic, and amazing fun drive. Plan to keep it until I quit working and move overseas. Just such a cool little car.

2017 Subaru Impreza Sport sedan. Gets the job done very well here in upstate New York, where we average 115 inches of snow per winter.

I love cars, working on them too (VW’s and Honda’s mainly). I currently drive a 2018 VW Tiguan S. I have a couple of years until it’s paid off (leased then financed) and I am debating on whether or not to make it a “sleeper”…lots of potential. I might forgo that route though and, depending on finances, might get a fun weekender to zip along the coast and twisties with. :oncoming_automobile:

I have a 2009 VW Tiguan SE AWD. It has 150,000 miles and minus a few minor issues, it runs great.

Nice! Yeah, coming from a Hyundai Genesis Coupe I love having the extra space for passengers and cargo while still having ample power on tap in case I need to zip around while out and about. Don’t get me wrong, loved the fun factor of the Genesis but at this stage in life for me it’s all about having the added convenience and a comfortable ride. :+1:

Also minivan Mercedes V Class when travelling with friends and family. I found rental service 8Rental in Spain. It is a reliable and trustworthy service, they provide charter bus rental services, minibus hire, and private driver service in Europe at sensible costs. Renting a car for the first time can be a straightforward process but with this service I had only smooth and hassle-free car rental experience.

Figured I’d share some pics of mine too. I wish I had a better shot of a neat location but for now, here are some from the ole garage when I brought him home. :oncoming_automobile:

I don’t know if it’s ok to unburry threads like this…

Among Hondas and VWs, I’ll share my wheels. 2018 Peugeot 208 1.5 BlueHDI.

It’s small, manouverable, relatively inexpensive and with the iCockpit tiny steering wheel, it’s pretty fun to drive. I needed a diesel, so that’s what I got. Pretty economic, I’m averaging 5L/100km (56mpg) even though it can do much better if I control my right foot. Peugeots are looked down on by pretty much everyone, but I have no issues with them all things considered (had a 206 before, and it was decent as well).

Not my car but my dad lend it to me for the time being since he hasn’t been using it often at their home, also his car is just gathering dust and he often uses his Vespa more compared to his car.

Right now my go to car is a 2021 Toyota Fortuner, it’s not flashy and all as the sports car but it gets the job done, but I am a bit conflicted about this one since it runs really smooth and well due it to being technically still new and the mileage is not there yet for prolonged use, and a bit irritated since it is an SUV, and I am not a fan of SUVs for I prefer Station Wagons more if I want more functional space and of course more visual view on what is below the car’s view.

My main car would be an old ass 1998 Toyota Corolla GL, is a rusty bucket and needs a lot of maintenance nowadays, and quite frankly I hate it right now xD. Also guys this is just me and I know some of you might disagree, but please you might want to censor your license plates here when posting about your cars, unless you guys wouldn’t mind showing it of course.

I can only speak for myself but, unless you want to pay my road tax, there’s not much you can do with my license plate, that’s why I didn’t bother to censor it :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m always fascinated by manufacturer models that aren’t sold in the U.S., such as the Fortuner. Often it’s just the same car with a different name, but sometimes it’s a completely different model.

I THINK the Fortuner is similar to the 4Runner sold in the U.S. Good vehicle.

My family’s car was a Peugeot when I was a kid, I still remember the license plate: B342XKR

Looked like this one:

Since 1.5-2 years ago I have a 2003 Toyota Camry. It drives really well, and I bought it with 250k miles on it, added 15k since. I’m a “car that gets me from A to B with low maintenance” kind of a person. I can’t afford for my car to cost much more than the gas and the oil changes necessary for my commute.

Daily as 2017 Audi A3, 2L Petrol Quattro.
Keeping it stock mainly. Openable sunroof so can enjoy some open air at summer time and winter with quattro drive + fuel heater. Drives pretty nice as well and confy.

Corvette Grand Sport as weekend warrior or nice weather summer car ( future contains mods ).

The legendary 504. Those things are indestructible. I have an old customer that has one with over 1.5 million kilometers and it still runs like clockwork.

We’re the same regarding what cars are for. I went with a new one because my old 206 was being more expensive than buying a new one and eventually nearly died on me with a blown head gasket. The car culture here is pretty much like the French; buy a car, run it until it dies, get another one, run it until it dies, and so on.

Eventually we sold it to a scrapyard near us because it would have been to much to replace the issue… but the scrapyard owner fixed it up and drove it
I hope his diagnosis wasn’t biased…
