Hmm, haven’t had that problem.
My new portable companion came in today and I’m really enjoying it so far. Smoothes out the Elegia just enough compared to the Dragonfly, and that bass boost switch is my new secret sauce when I want that little extra low end oomph for certain genres. This little guy complements the Elegia beautifully in my opinion and makes it one versatile beast.
Also fits right in the Elegia case for a sweet portable kit.

So far I like the 4xx although it’s definitely not gonna dethrone my hawks as my daily drivers, I’m gonna see what they’re like for games when the new modern warfare patch is out. One thing I can say though is I really like the hybrid pads already, this is the first time I’ve used any.
As for the balanced cable, I’m not sure I hear any difference although I find it kinda hard to do an a/b test since I feel like it takes too long to switch between cables

nice, I remember loving my 4xx for the period of time I had them… nice wide neutralish sound that works well with a wide range of music (if I remember correctly)… sonic differences in the cable will extremely difficult to pinpoint and that is if there are any at all but at least you can relish in the fact that you don’t have to use the stock cable lol congrats on the purchases

Thanks, yeah I was more thinking of it as a way to see if I could tell the difference between balanced and single ended mainly. The cable is really nice though and only cost £35 which I thought was worth a try for that price. Yeah I can’t really tell whether there’s specific genres that I like more on them yet

Just received BLON B8 and ThieAudio Voyager 3 from Linsoul after more than 4 months of waiting. Unfortunatelly for Blons I picked NightHawks two days ago so will have hard time to get a chance to play some music.

I have the clears. Can definitely recommend. However, there are definitely other options in the price range. Unless you’re dead set on the Focal House sound I would definitely check out the Hifiman, ZMF, Audeze, and Dan Clark offferings in the $1500 range.
I do love my clears though…

Plugged my new Porta Pros into the RNHP to check out a few songs last night. 3 hours later I order KSC75s next-day delivery. Triforce complete, lol.
Now I just need to Yaxify these. Pads are already en route.
