Old house I was in had some old knob and tube wiring and some newer stuff. We installed a new GFCI outlet directly to the circuit panel and my overkill PC for the time with it’s 850w PSU would trip the GFCI every time it was powered on, older plasma and the rest of the HT system was on the same outlet. So annoying until I bought a power conditioner (Monster tho, not nearly as nice as the Furman) and that solved the issue immediately. The PSU power spike at the initial power would draw from the caps in the monster and not present a load to the GFCI and trip it.
Take advantage of the isolated power banks for a meaty sub and other equipment. Supposed to help keep it from interfering with each other.
Oh yeah. they sound very good on the RNHP. I cant wait for the Bifrost to arrive. It should reduce the treble even more. I love V/U shaped headphones. one of the reasons i choose the bifrost. i need a amp to counteract all that treble lol
OH MY GURD!!! This shit is just fucking incredible! Particularly the imaging is simply great, and the Emotiva pushes them effortlessly!
Before anyone mentions it, the TV, not mine. This room has been turned into a storage room of all the crap my folks dont wanna throw away, and just dont have room for otherwise. Yes, the horizontal lines across the whole thing (does not show up on anything else, even with the same HDMI cable), and the vertical lines on the left irritate me.
I threw on Bass Cannon by Excision just for shits and giggles to see how the bass was… At first I felt dissapointed… Until I felt the floor shaking.
I have had one issue with the speaker cables… One of the plastic sleeves has pulled away a bit to where I can see the wire inside. Cant see it when the cable is laid flat, but when plugged in like this, I can see it.
Since I don’t know what else to buy in terms of audio equipment, I’ve always wanted to try some good hot sauce. I’m a sucker for hot food, I’ve had restaurant prepared vindaloo countless times. I’ve also had Phaal 2 or 3 times, loved it. But never tried good hot sauce. So I bought these today, can’t wait.
Don’t forget to do the headphone jumper. It’s insane, push but just a little because if you had a mind to, you can certainly blow up whatever you plug in there.
I’ve eaten a pepper that was about 50k-200k SHU. I got a little bit high and needed to cool my mouth under running water for 5 minutes. I think Da Bomb is not very good because it uses concentrate, would like to try some Puckerbutt’s sauces.
I ordered a BTR5 and a boatload of Hart Audio cables last night. Being able to share interconnects across headphones sounds exciting! Balanced 6XX should also play well with the BTR5. I don’t expect any audio quality differences, but it’ll be nice to get some first hand experience.
I’ve actually noticed quite a difference in balancing my ThieAudio phantom on the btr5. Everything tightened up and became more precise to my ears. (As precise as phantoms can be)
