It pains me to hear that, fortunately gyms in my city are still opened.

Is Toyota Hilux available in the US? It’s relatively compact.

Not modern ones. I believe the compact trucks sold in the 80s simply as “Toyota Pickup” or “Toyota Truck” were in fact the Hilux. According to Wikipedia, the Hilux was replaced by the Tacoma in 1995.

One of my friends owns an 80s Toyota. Wipers are broken, so are the mirrors, no power steering, no tach, the transmission is sloppy and the seats are non-existent now, but it was a very very honest driving experience. Was a lot of fun just putting around with the 4 speed manual.

Shure 1540’s last night. Not just the pads, but the actual cans (with an extra set of illustrious pads!)
The combo of pads/clamp and light-weight make these perhaps the most invisible set to wear that I have. I paid around half of retail for new, which is okay with me to try these out. Agreed that regular pricing is pretty substantial for the auditory experience here.

Comfort kings, great build. I don’t find these as thickly bassy as I anticipated. Nice articulate midrange, narrow but image well across that range. Lack air and openness (obviously) not my forte.

I find find it hilarious that 95% of the mention of these cans is regarding their unique pads, rather than the headphones themselves.

Shame, at the same time I wish we had bigger trucks in EU(Raptor, Tacoma, 4Runner). Some of them are available through importers.

LOL, I had the same experience with a Mercedes Benz GD250 in the army. When I got it I knew it had been badly mistreated. I remember how it wouldn’t want to go into reverse and one time I had enough and I kind of manhandled into the gear, didn’t have any problems after that . And some how that same vehicle kept on running through my entire 9 month service, despite being brutalized. I guess some of them are meant to take a beating.

Oooooohhhhhhh.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Don’t see many of the Pro variant. How does it sound?

Have you used the double 1/4in balanced connection yet?

Just unpacked these bad boys. My first reaction is “best headphone for bad music”. A couple songs I’ve loved forever are mastered like shit and very clearly clip on my 2Cs and pandas. These gloss right over that while maintaining a pretty solid sound stage.

Sounds good. I bought it as an upgrade for the Schiit Modius. I really liked the pairing with the Schiit Saga+, and it had more I/O than the standard version. Plus the Balanced headphone output.

I have a Moon Audio Silver Dragon adapter on order, so I’ll let you know after I receive it.

Of course!

I found that rather amusing myself.

The boat that’s bit sitting in the neighbor’s yard for longer then 8 years? Hah! I ain’t borrowing shit from that drug dealer, but it does already have a ball on the end.

Thank you. My step dad used to have a '94 Ranger, but replaced it with an XLT model from the same year, then stole a 4.0 V6 and matching transmission from an Explorer and threw them in his truck. Sadly, he’s rather abusive on it, and is ready for his third transmission.

I believe that’s the era my grandpa has his from. Has over 300k miles on it and still running.

Eh, obviously not new, and it has it’s quirks, but I still like it.

Thank you!

Apparently it already needed an oil change, so I picked up some Penzoil High Mileage oil (he gave me a supposedly compatible filter and some no-name brand oil that’s 10W-30, not the 5W-20 the manual calls for), and some STP Gas Treatment (I was running pretty close to empty, and a co-worker offered to fill the tank for a ride home, so I threw it in).

Higher milage cars can have oil “leaks” start. He may of seen his oil dropping between changes and went thicker. It shouldnt hurt. Or if youre in an always hot climate some tend to use a more viscous oil with the idea that the higher natural heat will thin it out any way.

But they make high milage oils for a reason and that is probably your best bet.

Your truck should be way easier to get under and change than my mustang, and your younger too do enjoy it!

So I bought the monoprice liquid platinum on sale for $399 then went to the head-fi forum looking for tubes to roll on it. Found out about the cap mod that supposedly improves the sound quality by a decent margin and then stumbled on a listing for a cap modded liquid platinum with improved volume pot and a bunch of tubes for $600. Couldn’t pass that one up lol
