What did you buy today? (Part 1)

Nice!
Mine left Nov. 8th and they haven’t even made it to the border yet. :unamused:

new amp day - can’t wait, but needs some burn in first. I’ll report back in a week how the L-550AXII is working for me.

Hello,
My XLR 4 pin for the Audeze Lcd 2C arrived today.
And for the steamers between the Lcd 2c is the Asmodus Minikin 3S mod with the new Uwell Crown 5 with 0.2 Ohm coil inside.
Also a pleasure while listening to music .

I really liked the Lifatec cables, and I also wanted to ‘clean up’ the signal from the Apple TV.
(In fairness, the signal wasn’t dirty, but this also allows me to connect the output directly to two separate DACs)

Lifatec TOSLINK cables, and ifi SPDIF iPurifier 2

Enjoy it,hope it is sucsessful

I’m curious to hear your thoughts on the spdif ipurifier. I got one recently to help cleanup the toslink output of a Chromecast Audio, and I really like it. It has some qwerks (ie lag when switching sampling frequency), but I definitely noticed an improvement with it.

I bought a lot the last 3 days…

-ifi ZEN DAC (and ifi’s 5v adapter. 4.4mm patch cable for the amp coming later so I can do fully balanced)
-ifi Zen CAN amplifier
-Drop x Hifiman HE5xx and an extra balanced cable
-blue Yaxi pads for my KPH30i
-Dekoni Audio Nuggets, not really for any of the headphones I have now, this is a “just in case” buy
-Grado SR80e, just sorta always wanted to try Grado headphones.
-Sony MDR-7506, again just sorta always wanted to try these guys as well

Non audio stuff: Socks, underwear, undershirts, and Rust-Oleum NeverWet spray for fabric/shoes

edit: Oh and .78mm 2-pin connector to do the detachable cable mod on my KPH30i, along with an MCCX to 4.4mm cord that is the wrong size. I have to return that and get the right one.

Then have fun with them and report back on the Ify and Hifman.
The Grado was not my cup of tea, although they are beautiful.

Give these pads a try if you like the SR80e. They are not quite as comfortable as the stock pads but are still good enough and sound much better imo.

Interesting, any notes on the benefits of these? Better soundstage?

I hole punched my stock pads so I can’t do a perfect comparison, but the main differences I notice are mostly better clarity (no foam in front of the driver) and slightly punchier bass (not more, just better impact). I’ve tried about 5 or 6 different pad options and these are the ones I like best on my SR80e. The thing I like so much is that they sound pretty much like stock, just better overall.

The Final A4000 arrived today. Look forward to seeing what the A series has to offer without breaking the bank

Destroyed the piggy bank. Got the aeon 2 closed. I can hear the difference of amps better with these compared to the ndh20.

Just ordered a pair of Micca RB42 center channels last night to replace my pair of MB42x centers. I hope the upgrade is more then noticeable. At the moment I am sweating bullets as I contemplate ordering a set of Gold Planar GL 2000’s

Different for sure. I’ve been listening to them for a few days now and I really like how they sound. They fit in my collection nicely. :+1:

Got my Logitech MX Keys in today. Semi audio-related since now I won’t bother myself with my own clickety-clack when wearing (semi-) open headphones. Next up is getting a new mouse and then the only ugliness I need to get rid of from my desk is the untidy E10K + Liquid Spark combo by either mounting it beneath my desk, or replacing the E10K for something larger and Bluetooth so I can stack them. Maybe an Xduoo xq-50?
