Picked up an Eddie Current ZDT Jr.
Cheap enough I can decide if I really want to deal with tubes for regular listening,

Itā€™s a pretty sweet amp for the price, curious to see what you think :+1:

Would you say the Eddie Current ZDT Jr. is better than the Dark Voice?

Marshall Stockwell II ā€¦ sounds bigger(wider/deeper) and looks not as heavy as it is - 1,4kg is what it is
pairs very good with multiple android and Apple devices at the same time - so both can start songs from different sources in a heartbeat - no bt-source-device changing at the speaker needed

a good ā€œtransportableā€ boat or campfire sound solution (for example)
very omnidirectional(Blumlein Stereo)
and you can hang it somewhere - what I missed with our anker bt speakers

still have to test the aux-in with ifi xDSD/BTR3/ES100/smartphones vs BT

most important part is, my wife had a fun time with it last night and we listened for hours everywhere in the house and on an short dog walk

the new Bose portable Homespeaker could be also quite interesting for some, while Oluv(oluvā€™s gadgets) prefered the Marshall soundwise

short soundimpression:
never boomy(no party thing), well controlled and extented deep end down to 50 maybe 40hz(have some chesky test tracks), fun/rich with enough sparkle in the highs(not vailed)ā€¦ not backed away mids for such a unite(remeber marshall u-shaped sound signature from our Mid BT onEar) ā€¦ singer songwriter vocal stuff was really there - both male and female

Welp decided to pull the trigger on a custom keyboard and now dive into another hobby where my wallet suffers lol. I hate how much I get excited about this stuff

Ended up getting a RAMA M65-B hotswap pcb with a foam case liner, GMK stabilizers, Zealios v2 67g switches, and GMK Deep Space keycaps. Dang I donā€™t need another moneypit

Iā€™ll pretty much guarantee you will spend less on Keyboards than you have on Audio.
Though the GMK keycaps can add upā€¦

I told myself I donā€™t need anymore keycaps unless I have another board, so hopefully I will adhere to that lol

OK. Just got the new pads for the aeolus in, and have gotten to listen to them all today. Interestingly enough I didnā€™t really care for the stock aeolus pads, and if these had been the default pads on my aeolus I wouldā€™ve been dissapointed to start with. Too warm, the bass just overpowers the mids and highs to a point where itā€™s just bleh. But the universe leather pads? I think they sound awesome! A bit more ā€˜funā€™ sounding than the universe suede pads and totally addicting sound. I think the universe suede or universe leather are the best pads for this headphone. Like choosing between ā€˜warmer and funā€™ and ā€˜more neutralā€™. Definitely a good buy. :+1: Oh, and this leather is sooooo comfy as ffffffffff

From what I hear, the universe pads are very off-putting on the Verites. From his reaction I get the impression thatā€™s what Zeos was using in his review. I have the Universe suedes coming as an upgrade I opted for on the Aeolus, and I believe the Universe leather are the ones that ship installed on the Verite. The nice thing about having 2 headphones in the works is all the mixing and matching Iā€™m looking forward to, even though I donā€™t know if Iā€™ll be able to tell which is which.

I have the Protein ZMF pads on my Argons and, while I donā€™t love the headphones as much as others, they may be the best pads Iā€™ve ever had. Audezes are great too, and oddly the Sendy Aivas for other reasons. Looking forward to using ZMF pads on the headphones they are meant for

Iā€™m sure youā€™ll have a lot of fun with messing around between the pads! Hopefully your headphones come soon enough. And yeah, the quality of these pads is crazy good. The universe suede are definitely the right choice for the aeolus, I can see why they are highly recommended for it, but the leather also has something going for it. These are also really easy to switch between too, I was surprised. Go off and on so easy.

I forgot about the Empyreans because they are kind of in a league of their own. Both leather and suede have a magnetic ring so swaps literally couldnā€™t be easier. I was 100% sure I only liked the leather at first, but I swapped to suede about a month ago and havenā€™t switched back. I think the leather highlights what the Empys can do, but the suedes are where itā€™s at in the long run. I went with the Brain Wavez pads on the DT770s and if every pad swap was that annoying I donā€™t think Iā€™d ever bother. If it takes more than 5 minutes of legitimate struggling per pad Iā€™m out

Iā€™m hovering my mouse over the Tin T2 and the Blon 03. I canā€™t buy both. Only one. Iā€™ll flip a coin later and pull the gun tomorrow. Most probably the T2 will get picked.
