What did you buy today? (Part 1)

Meanwhile, recent purchase of mine: Pelican 1400 case. Now my Monoprice 887 and Topping D90 are fit to travel…

887 on the bottom (excuse the fingerprints)

D90 on top (more fingerprints)

Does anyone know where you can buy the hardware splits for cables like Hart uses?

Awesome!
Do you have regular T50 Argon too?

No, haven’t even heard. This is stock t60 with ZMF pads and a way nicer suspension strap. Plan on sending for Argon mod, but now kinda wanna hear one first. These now are kinda fun and enjoyable.

I know the Hicon CS01 exists, is a lot of money for a nicer looking split though.

Shiny. Hmm, white cable with gold inlays. Well that’s just decadent.

Edit: I found even more expensive ones (now that I know what I’m looking for I’m going insane). That black metal plated one though. I have to wonder how heavy that is.

I couldn’t agree more with safety first. I’ve had 2 co-workers and friend have to cancel trips to China because of the Corona virus. After SARS, nobody’s messing around.

Yup, I know even Foxconn employees working for Apple were told to stay at home for another week.

Although if you order something from China, or buy something “Made in China” (i.e.: …95%+ of what’s sold today), well… it’s basically impossible for the Coronavirus to travel in a box and survive. No worries there.

But it can survive on live surfaces, right? Shit… better return that pet monkey from Beijing I ordered.

I can’t believe people actually thought that in the first place.

You assume people are in some way rational?

I don’t know… new virus, new possibilities, not enough infos? :man_shrugging:

I would not trust China either so I understand this woman too. Like, why not? 1$ for peace of mind.

The picture still makes me laugh, though.

What? It’s a cat on a leash wearing a surgical mask. Nothing to see here!

I am waiting for my Aeolus, so I really shouldn’t buy anything, but for some odd reason these just arrived. I need IEM’s with a full bass for travelling and I like the CA design and sound. So why not try CA Polaris 2nd gen. :innocent:

Those look very pretty.

Yeah, way better than Gen. 1. and the cable is better in gray than white.
I really look forward to get some time with them.

But I don’t understand CA and their “Lady purse” approach :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

First impression:
LOT’S of bass and for me V (or W?) shaped, but also a very clear sound where bad recordings are revealed immediately. The soundstage is not wide as the bass holds it back, but that is okay for IEM’s.

I am not a bass-head, but I like to have HP/IEM’s with different set-up and sounds; if they sound the same and are equal in bass, mids and treble then I only need one pair.

Super stoked. And like many others, I feel the need to shout out the customer service over at JDS Labs. I made a mistake in my order and sent them an email, John followed up with me via phone within the next half hour, and he rectified the problem and provided shipping insurance free of charge. I’m already a huge fan.

That’s a great choice! Looks cool, too!
