Being able to set the level out via the digital volume control for the LINE out helps with matching to amps with varying gain settings…another nice “hidden” feature…also the clipping light is very accurate and sensitive another nice feature not seen in many other devices.

Its been compared with higher priced dacs and does very well…

Sound impressions: if the Shanling UP5 is clean like a JDS Labs EL II, then the iFi Go Blu is warm like a Schiit Asgard 3.

The Go Blu has a better bluetooth connectivity compared to the UP5. The best I can describe it is that the UP5 is quite delicate when skipping through Youtube videos. Like, if I play a video, there will be no audio, but if I close that video & play it again, the audio works fine. Idk the cause, but it could be cause I use an iPhone 8 Plus: either a bluetooth codec limitation or the age of the phone.

They both have a volume knob, but the Go Blu is more tactile? Visceral? However, the UP5 has greater volume control as the unit has independent volume controls in the unit on top if Hi/Low Gain.

They both have a slight hiss, but I’m certain that’s coming from my phone; I can hear a hiss even when I use the Apple dongle dac.

Last but not least, they both have a sexy female European voice that sounds similar to this:

sweet! After a bit more time I’d love to hear your feedback in the go blu thread. I’m interested in the product but skeptical of the blue tooth solutions vs. hip dac 2 option.

Just received some Beyerdynamic T1.2s in the mail today! I’ve heard a lot of good things about these headphones, I’m excited.

Bought from @Rick_Jones here on HFG, everything is in wonderful condition, highly recommend buying from Rick, maybe go grab those Emu Teaks or something, lol.

Look forward to hearing your impressions about them

Didn’t buy it myself, but one of my coworkers got me a birthday gift.

Why did that thought not occur to me? I’ll have to check the sizing when it’s completed…

Unfortunately it’s a little too small to be a decent headphone stand…

Wow, the awesomeness of these things hits you the moment you take them out of the pack. They are the first cables I ever bought that come with a manual! The connectors lock and the special 2-core conductor is directional. And they sound incredible. I won’t buy anything else now.
