Some friends of mine use these for jogging and even moutainbiking. They don’t really have any complaints about these (you don’t have time to worry about soundquality when speeding through a forest on your mountainbike)

Ordered three sets of these KGORGE 4-in-1 Soundproof Anti Dust 100% Blackout Curtains with Melt-Blown Layer Thermal Insulating Window Treatment Drapes.

The primary reason was the “soundproof” part of them. So far two sets have arrived this week and I put them up in the living room, behind my listening position. It is for my large picture window which faces the busy road out front.

Another set I split in two (two panels are a set) and put one panel over the doorway leading into the living room from the front door/vestibule area where road noise also flows into the listening area. The other panel will go up between the listening area and the kitchen.

The last set will go up behind the hifi setup. There is an active railroad not far from my backyard.

I have to say, these drapes are heavy, and they’re doing a remarkable job of blocking most of the road noise from getting inside. I’m impressed.

I’m beginning to think this is some sort of disease. Im sick…right. I added a Denafrips Ares II to my headphone tower of power. I have this all sitting atop a single ultimate support 45" tall speaker stand. I m going to need more room. I have all GR-Research power cables wrapped around the base tube fed by a PS audio Juice bar. I think im going to need to add a second stand with maybe an aluminum top plate for a “table top”. Maybe I should lower it as well. Maybe 36" height so its less top wobbly/heavy. I just cant get enough. I cant stop. How about an intervention? Well at least ill have a nice system to listen to when I’m in the poor house. AKA debters prison. :cowboy_hat_face:

Okay this iswhat the basket’O snakes looked like below the above pics. Some fairly pricey eqipment(at least for me), was very precariously perched. A disaster just waiting for me to Fup. So…

I made some needed changes. It may not look as cool(old guy lingo) but its way less likely to give me heartache. Or wallet burn. I tried switching to 36" posts for the ultimate support stands but the greenery behinde wasn’t havin it. So back to the 45"ers. I placed them between low shelves(for plants in the windows) and seating. I used a 1/4 aluminum plate from an old PC desk for a table top. For now its only placed on the speaker pads and clamped with plastic cheap clamps. Its still way more stable than the tower of power. I use a third stand to hold headphones and after the pics I added a clamp-on headphone hanger. It has also freed up the spot in front of a sub for easier access to that. Im not sure i want to permanently afix the top to the stands because, well you know, I’ll probably change it again when I get new gear. But hey when i move things. Im forced to clean.:joy:

I used those to fully curtain my listening room on all 4 walls and they work great. Put some bass traps in and the difference is absolutely colossal. It works great for speakers, but it’s also so epic for open backs lol.

Went with Blue switches for the ESC row, keys around home and numpad. Brown for the number rows, tab, caps, shift, ctr, windows and alt keys. Red for the alphabet. For now at least.

These swimming ear plugs are a neat idea for when I take showers. I had swimmer’s ear several years ago which had to be treated. I regularly check my ears with an otoscope. I recently noticed what might be a few small specks of fungus amongst the small amounts of ear wax. It is high time that I prevent any water from entering my ear canals. These swimming ear plugs will prevent the major source of inner ear moisture which is the shower. Obviously IEMs are another potential cause of inner ear moisture.

They’ve worked like a charm for me so far, hope they work for you too! :+1:

Ordered a longer length of my favorite RCA cables for my Vali 3 in preparation for making room for the Yggy on my desk (ordering the Yggy next week).

JDS Labs Element IV
Genuinely fantastic. I do recommend. Could be an all in one end game for many. Has built in 10 band PEQ, UAC1 support for consoles like PS5 and Switch, ability to adjust 2nd and 3rd order harmonic distortion as desired (for tube-like sound), tons of power, the large knob on top can be clicked in to switch between headphones and pre out for speakers. It has everything from a feature standpoint. AND it sounds fantastic out of the box. Listened to both the Atriums and Arya Organic and both were stellar. JDS knocked this out of the park. I think both subjectivist, Objectivists, and everyone in between would find this great.

It only comes with 6.35 but JDS offers the option of swapping it for a 4.4 balanced output of desired using the notes at checkout. The clear acrylic knob is also a custom option that looks really nice.

I picked up a cable to put on the P5+2 IEM that is coming. Found out today that the 5+2 is gonna be delayed. At least the cable is here.

Very nice cable. I’m anxious to try it.

This will be the quintessential viewing experience for this film since literally no known worthy video quality copies exist, at least that I have found. If you are (like me) a fan of this movie or the director, it should be a worthy addition to your collection!

That looks like a stunning cable.

Yessir, I really like it. It’s got a great feel to it and it is very pliable. I may just pop it on one of my sets here to check it out as opposed to waiting for the P5+2. I am curious!
