Bought them ‚just for fun‘. I must admit, they sound ‚fun‘ :slightly_smiling_face: in a good way, at this price bracket. makes one notice the diminishing returns hitting hard on more expensive IEM‘s.

I want this cable so badly. But it doesn’t come with Dan Clark audio connectors :frowning:

Spinfit W1 eartips came in today. Paired with the ThieAudio Legacy 5s, I am surprised the tips improved the sound at all, the Legacy 5s already sounded fantastic on some C100s. Terrific staging

Nice. All obviously vintage. But I gotta say, some of those leads look pretty shitty. Can they be cleaned or are the tubes too sensitive for that? I have always wondered about that and have no idea if fidelity gets compromised at all due to those filthy leads.

Edit: I didn’t notice the $20 until just now. At that price… forget everything I just said. You will have fun sorting them all out.

cheap china tube pins can break easily (stock tubes from my MT602 are the only ones I’ve ever had break)
others I’ve had no problem cleaning off with some q-tips and rubbing alcohol

I’m in the gambling mood today. So 16TB for 35€? Why not give it a shot. It’s not a mistranslation of “GB” because they offer 500GB pieces also.

Bought a subscription to Midjourney (its one of the image generating AI). Really fun to play around with

if it ends up reporting as 16TB it’s certainly faked, some sellers change the info on flash drives to say it has X capacity but usually it’s something like a 16GB Flash drive, SSD’s and GPU’s have the same issue
Edit also as far as I know the largest SSD is only 8TB

Samsung PM1643-series goes up to 30TB. The 8TB variant can be had for as low as 1400€/$
Samsung PM1653 in the 15.36TB model costs just over 3,100€/$

I would guess there is a lot of hotglue and a micro-sd card in there.

Bit the bullet and picked up the BTR7 + a new cable. Looking forward to running some higher impedance headphones off this thing. TGX Buds, I’m looking at you…

I was actually choosing between BTR7 and G5 for my Serratus. I was first leaning towards BTR7 but then I saw that G5 has newer Qualcomm chipset for bluetooth.

Also I got a huge discount with G5 which was equivalent to BTR7’s price + 30 bucks.

Let me know how it goes with BTR7, I found my G5 bluetooth performance only subpar compared to Quadelix, it loses its connection everytime I move my phone or the dac/amp itself. I hope BTR7 is better.

Interesting - I assume the power output is comparable between the two. I chose the BTR7 because I already own the BTR3K and I really Enjoy the form factor of the FiiO stuff. In terms of Bluetooth connectivity, the BTR3K has never been less than perfect for me - I’ve left my phone in my bedroom while washing dishes in the kitchen which is two rooms away with a big wall in between and I’ve never had a connection issue - so I assume the 7 should have the same if not better performance in that department.

I’ll make sure to write my thoughts on it - I’m hoping it comes in sooner than the November 7th expected arrival date lol
