they’ll blow your mind. I’m 2.5 years in the hobby, have gone through a bit of gear and had a few outright misfires, but Verums are one of the few lucky hits - items I bought based on the reviews, early in the game, and was in luck. the Verums scale well with the headphones, I just stepped from Cavalli LCX to Singxer SA-1 and it is noticeable.

I hadn’t read any reviews on them at all. My gf and I are both into headphones and audio in general so she started looking into audio companies in Ukraine we could order from and Verum Audio was one that she found and through talking to them over email she found a guy who makes headphones amos over there as well so ee ordered headphones from Verum and two tube amps from the other guy (I’ll have to ask what his company name is when she gets off work tonight).

Since we ordered them I have only mentioned it a couple times on forums and reddit, but you’re the second person who says I’m gonna be impressed. I was looking forward to them anyways, but now I’m even more excited. They should be here in about a week.

Which wood/material did you have your cups made out of and which hardware color option did you choose to go with it? How did the look turn out? And if you don’t mind can you give me like a two sentence summary of their sound sig? :metal::sunglasses:

Edit: BTW, I have a number of high powered amps/combos that should be able to drive them just fine. My gf is hoping to run hers of her JDS Labs El Stack 2+ instead of getting something more powerful. Do you think that’ll work or do you think it will be under powered? Just asking for your informed opinion as I can test the reality on the amps I have here when we get them, but I’m wondering what to expect.

cups you say? mine are open headphones, actually I still see the only model, Verum 1, on their website. do they offer another option privately perhaps? mine are Verum 1 Mk2 I believe, in carbon finish.

sorry, I’m going to keep you in suspense on the sound signature, you’ll just have to wait and see. I have no experience with El stack, initially drove my Verums with Liquid Spark, and that was too bright and harsh for my taste, all was right with LCX, but only on high gain - there was just no slam to the sound on the low gain. yeah, as it turns out, the Verums are a bit deceptive, they are not as easy to drive as you might imagine. I think they need current more that wattage.

tube amps from Ukraine you say? you must mean Tor Audio, no? and don’t forget the RebelAmp and Flux Labs - I read on Head-Fi today that Flux Labs is taking orders again, the shop on the website still says ‘sold out’, but I guess if you email them you can find a solution.

I honestly don’t know where she ordered the tube amps from because they were supposed to be a his and hers anniversary present in November, but she used the wrong credit card number so I saw the charges lol! I promised not to pry or look it up so it would still be a surprise. All I know is they’re coming from a tube amp maker that the folks at Verum recommended when my girl asked and they’ll be here in early November. That’s it.

As for the Verums, I ordered the Verum 1s too (I think that’s all they offer). You can get them in carbon, bubinga, and at least one other wood. I didn’t mean to be confusing, but whether open or closed back I have always heard the parts that house the driver and that go on or over your ear referred to as the cups. I ordered mine in bubinga and my gf has the carbon finish coming like you have.

So you won’t describe the sound, huh? Did my girl hire you to withhold info from me to maintain the surprise too?!?! LOL

Nothing special, just some new hoop shoes to use. I have decided to try a Chinese brand for a change for I have heard a lot of good things about Anta.

Been on the outdoors lately so I settled with this since it will last a long time for outdoor use.

If it’s still there on the 1st I’m buying it. I’m giving yall a chance to buy a great amplifier.

Edit:
Dang it! I ended up buying it tonight, Oct 19th, before I knew it. I did get it for $150 less than asking though.

I didn’t buy them, but I just got a pair of Dali Oberon 5s in trade for some restoration work I did on an acquaintance’s vintage Ludwig drum set. I don’t do all that much listening to my big speaker setup (or speakers at all really), but I have been underwhelmed by the Klipsch towers I have currently.

Only just got the Oberon 5s hooked up and gave them a cursory listen and, I must say, these are very nice. I still have to get everything dialed in, but these have a very refined, smooth character to them that I’m diggin’. Definitely a cool pick up! :sunglasses:

Ok got a bit tired of the huge honking Adam Audio F7 on the desk and wanted to get something more musical.

Pulled up from media room a extra Rotel RB-991 200wpc amp and bought today a set of pre loved Energy Reference Connoisseur RC10 from my Country in the Great White North. See second pic after I realized that the amp takes up 1/4 of my desk. So I moved it to on top of the 12" Bob Carver Sub. I am in a happy

place now with my Sub/Amp/Printer stack LOL

I didn’t want to until next month, but I bought it last night, before I realized it, in haggling over the price. Got it for $150 under asking price. These amps, new, were priced about like an equivalent Bryston amp would be in the day. The big recording studios & mixing rooms would have either the Hafler or the Bryston on their mixing monitors, often on George Augspurger mains, but also on the near fields, like Yamaha NS10M, but modified with an in house, or after market crossover.

Sweet! I think that is a very good find. Enjoy, man. :+1:

I may have reached some golden classics. But wasn’t expecting THIS size of outer box.

If that was from Amazon it would probably be an IEM

I was a bit shocked at this delivery. Thats after I unrapped it from all the black plastic rap & security straps.

If it was from Amazon, wouldn’t it need some writings on its box?

Jesus! Looks like a normal IEM packaging from Amazon
