What ZMF you spring for…?
Eikon! I bought the LTD Marblewood version about a month and a half ago. Most likely still going to be waiting for several more weeks before I have it in my hands, but I’ll definitely post pictures and stuff when it finally arrives.
definitely would depend on what your looking for in terms of sound and presentation…
Yeah, coffee is always enjoying. I also love it.
Don’t hesitate to post a picture please. So that everyone can see. LOL!
Topping d90 arrived today, it is definitely higher resolution than su-9 and d30 pro, there is an air between instruments, soundstage is breathing. But i will be more happy in case of slamming a bit more in bass region. Somebody believe in burn in? Will it helps? Or maybe d90 needs thunderous class amplifier, but a30 pro already punching good!
SVS PB-1000 Pro inbound. I’m ready to be murdered with bass.
If you don’t report back, then we will know it was a success
Just upgraded to the pro from the regular pb-1000 a little over a month ago. Couldn’t be happier now that I can control it all from my phone.
Reducing some excess cabling. New one on the bottom. Last year when I was setting up the room I thought the sub would need to be in the opposite corner of the receiver. I was wrong.
What I’ve heard is that unless you take off the film used to protect the screen during shipping, you won’t get the best sound out of it.
A bunch of stars aligned and a lot of orders from months past just happened to drip into my mailbox the past few days.
First off was a wild gamble of some “groundloop isolators” off of Aliexpress for a questionably cheap price, I grabbed 4 of them, cut one open to check the insides and see how “viable” they were. Then plugged one in between my Switch headphone out and Yamaha AG03. Works wonders and takes away the constant hiss that you get when the Switch is docked and connected with the power brick. Worth the $4 lol.
Second was a long awaited capture device to use with my Switch and laptop. Not sure if it’s a step up from the Elgato HD60 S yet, but at least I can play with audio directly without going through unecessary hoops. Still need to figure out all its quirks and get it to work properly with Streamlabs / OBS, but for $45 it was also worth a gamble.
Then we come to the real bling for my IEM’s and DAP. Bought myself a nice ddHifi case. Very pleased with the quality and I can fit all my IEM’s, cables and more. I also got myself a sorting box (not pictured) for washers, hydraulic parts etc, but it works just as well for tips, hart audio adapters, dongles and any other small parts audio related. Plus it’s sturdy.
Last but not least, a “leather” case for my Hiby R5. Not actually leather, also not as advertised since I bought a black one, but it’s a very dark blue. But I actually prefer the dark blue tint to it, it looks very nice. It’s a shame that the back of it does not have the embossed Hiby logo on it either, it seems that they have two different version that they send out if you go by the Aliexpress reviews. Some people get the embossed version that is actually black, which also has covers for the buttons and comes in a much larger and fancier box. The case is nice and has a snug fit, so it’s a step up from the bland protective silicone case that came with the R5 originally. A bit of a mixed experience due to discrepancies of the product, but still happy.
On a separate note, pulled the plug on a pair of ZMF Oval suede pads for my T60rp, should have them by the end of the week or early next week. My craving for an argon mod needs to be sated somehow…
Feels like cheating because i haven’t technically bought any of the following items but here it goes lol
Currently have the Pass Labs HPA1 on LOAN from my boi @Nick_Mimi , it’s done wonders to my speakers in particular as their preamp. Just when i felt my speakers were lacking some technical abilities in comparison to my headphones and IEMs the pass labs comes and gives them new life. I’ll have to really really really save up for a long time however to be able to actually afford one, but after seeing what it did to my speakers im a believer and will be in the market for one in the future
Campfire Andromeda Pacific Blue Edition, i came in expecting to possibly even not like the andros since i’ve heard them being V shaped etc etc. Currently on loan from my boi @sa11297 but def making the purchase official tomorrow because the andros have been nothing but magical and very nice to have .
Also not in the pic atm but my Grado Hemps came back from my boi @FBizzle who fully modded them into a balanced 4.4. In addition to recently being gifted a camera tripod from a friend’s significant other which has also been super fun to play with giving me much more options in low light situations
Today I placed an order for the newly released Flux Lab Acoustics Volot. Link here for more info: VOLOT Dual Mono Class-A Headphone Amplifier
Here it is:
Sennheiser‘s last hurray
in the consumer market which was developed and manufactured in Germany.
And it is an absolute hit in the bull’s eye after the first hearing experiences.
Seeing / listening to what Sennheiser AGAIN is able to do with their last two products
brings tears to my eyes as a German, because here in Germany we have sold or outsourced a lot of high-end companies and their products as well as productions. That hurts!
Wait, Sennheiser wasn’t just selling “one part” of their company?
They seem fully committed to continuing the audiophile product portfolio and acknowledged its importance, historically and now.
As I was familiar with Sennheiser’s future audiophile product plans prior to this announcement, I asked how those plans were affected now. Their answer, much to my relief, was that those audiophile product portfolio plans until 2023 remain. Again, they also reiterated the importance of this category to the brand, and seemed very sincere about this.
ouu is it a Beyerdynamic?
I don´t think it was a good trade in this case. The Lcd 2 C is so good in many Section i find.
But have fun and i hope your are satisfaite with it,
