I will probably get a good hybrid or pure tube amp once I get a good solid state.
From my understanding, full tubes and planars don’t mix well. Once I get my balanced interconnect from Hart Audio, I’m gonna be trying mine balanced on my TA-10.
Purchased a pair of Tin T2 Pros for $20 shipped from Head-Fi and also purchased the KSC75X for $7.50 on Drop today (had $10 referral credit). I know most people prefer the T2 to the pro but for $20 and it comes with box and all tips I decided to give it a shot!
Just got the JDS labs ODAC secondhand for $25! Just need a good amp to finish the chain
Awesome deal!
Well, the HDMI and DisplayPort cables came in today along with the new monitor! Thermal paste came in Friday afternoon, but my instructor has to keep it in their room, cause Security thinks it’s drugs. Either way, it let me repaste and finally install the RX 570 Red Dragon 4GB and R5 1600. Set up is now re-cable managed and set up. Had to move things around where they would fit.
Pictures where taken with my phone. As such, will be of fairly poor quality. I am sorry for this.
damn sweet setup! love that u have the doll that is your profile pic.
Just bought the Sennhieser drop 58X, and the Hifiman drop HE4XX. Ive heard so much about these headphones, cant wait to try them. reviews on them coming soon.
oh nice! looking forward to what you think. 3 members of this forum including me just bought both in the last month or so. guess ur the new guy lol. btw the 4xx in particular require ALOT ALOT of burn in. like a few days to maybe a week, just wanted to throw that out there. afterwards they become pretty dang amazing cans, im loving them. And the senheisers are my favorite
Thanks for the info! i’ll do that. Love to join the 58X HE4XX club lol
Decided to dive into head first into upgrading my digital library to FLAC. I’m not going to upgrade everything, that would be a herculean effort on my part. Just going to focus on the song I “listen” to. Dance and Rap stuff I listen to in the car can stay @320 MP3.
What I bought was dBpoweramp music converter software. It’s a phenomenal investment with a ton of control, well worth the 30 something bucks.
What? The Nerd Rage POP! figure from Fallout? Yeah, was a Christmas gift.
Stock for stock, at least in Cinebench R20, the desktop is ~1.7x faster
Over the last week I’ve bought:-
Edifier S3000 Pro + Stands
Edifier S350DB
FiiO K3
Pray for my wallet.
I badly needed an audio upgrade, like, everywhere.
Nice, hope you are enjoying them
I pray for your wallet in the future lol, because the addiction has just begun
They really are great sets of speakers. Personally I’m not really that bothered about the whole “I need separate everything”. My wallet simply wouldn’t take it because I’d be buying stuff ALL the damn time.
Though, I can justify spending monies on more headphones and DAC/AMPs though. I work in an open plan office and would rather die in a fire than have to listen to idle chit chat all day.
Completely understandable, it seems like you need the most isolation you can get then lol
It’s not too bad all the time. It’s just when you really need to concentrate, music helps me through the day lol. I do have decent noise cancelling bluetooth headphones, but after buying a K3 I got the DT770’s out again and they sound WAY better than they did with the E10K. Oh my, what have I started.
Nice, which ohm? The 770s benefit a fair bit from a good amp/dac
I have the 80’s
Ohhhhhhh! That’s from fallout! Interesting never knew! Thought that was something you made or something
