It looks good and is making me crave pickles
The pickles are pretty much required. They tie everything together.
That’s a gorgeous BELT. Making me want to make one myself damn
Nice the utong ( string beans) is something I generally cut into smaller pieces. Leaving the beans long like that is more work for who ever is eating it and is cleaner presentatiin wise. But looks great for the first time.
the recipe I was following specifically called on not cutting the beans, which was annoying to both cook and eat. Cutting the beans would be the first of a few changes I’d make. It was one of those recipes that make a few healthy substitutions and lost something in the process, but very good nonetheless
If the recipe doesn’t call for it egg plants and even banana hearts and sometimes if I have it plantaina can be a nice addition
The eggplant was buried in the pics, and plantains sound like they’d be really good
They are pretty good helps soak the flavour up but it’s not really something everyone seems to like when I add it sadly.
You had me at bok choy…
That looks great!
Thanks…a bit of British weird but this’s my missus’s plate, Lamb, roast Parsnip, roast Potatoes, wilted spring greens with gravy and mint sauce…The Lamb was tad over done for me but it was just for the two of us on the barge, the leftover lamb will be used for a ‘Shepherds Pie’ pic’s to come lol…
Most of the lamb I have access to is trimmed so much that there isn’t the outer fat cap that makes yours look so good to me. I love parsnips, but younger me would disgusted to learn that
I came here to say parsnips are very underrated. Roasted carrots and parsnips in the meat pan with some onion… Oh it soaks up all the good juices
I actually made some very basic but very good PB cookies but they were eaten before i could share. Just pb, eggs, brown sugar. Chill, scoop, and bake.
