Hey guys, I’ve recently purchased the LT MkII amp to use with my HD650 and am now looking to upgrade the stock tubes. I’d like to maintain the richness, while bringing a bit more “air” into the headphones, make them a little less veiled, for lack of a better word, is that possible? I’m also looking to widen the soundstage as much as possible. I listen mostly to classical and jazz (a lot of instruments and voice). I saw that DMS recommends the GE JAN 5654W, would those fit the description, or is there a better choice? I’ve also heard good things about Voskhod and EI Yugoslavia tubes.
The JAN 5654W and M8100/CV4010/EF95 Mullard’s are pretty similar if you want a slightly brighter/less warmer sound the 5654W/EF95 Siemens offer that
