really…Come on guys there are iem’s @ < $50 that are hitting audio balls out of the park.
That’s a very good price for an audeze at this rumored (for me at least, haven’t heard it yet) performance point. If it delivers I don’t think it’s a bad price
Also it’s not really a fair comparison imo for iems to headphones
My bad in the respect that I wasn’t picking on Audeze as such…just an example of Over Ears not evolving…Chifi will be pushing this envelope very soon I reckon?
There’s been some pretty cool innovation recently. Off the top of my head the 1More Triple Driver, Nuraphone, and Crosszone CZ1 are pretty different takes on headphones.

See alot of push towards virtual suround in the gaming side of things while on the hif side of things pushing price to performance down so the everyday person can afford to get into it. I think it’s all about market demand and how much that said market can afford or how much the general market wants to spend.
