Who are your favourite blues artists?

I have recently decided that the blues is my favourite genre ever.
I know another blues thread exists that was born and died last November, and I’ll attempt to revive that too.
However, I have compiled my own playlist of all my favourite blues through the ages but I can only imagine how many artists I have not yet discovered.
So, if you have any recommendations you’d like to share of artists I’ve left off, or even other songs by people I do have on there, I’d love to hear them!

Here is my playlist for reference:

I don’t discriminate based on instruments or eras, so send it all!

Here’s a list of all the artists I’ve added already:

Your list has mostly the early recorded Blues musicians… which are all great.

There are a lot of sub-genres of Blues to explore and enjoy too such as Swing Blues, Delta Blues, Blues Rock, etc.

Here are a few incredible Blues Guitarists you should definitely check out. They would have come in the era when Blues became “electrified” beginning with Muddy Waters…

Buddy Guy
Albert King
Freddie King
Luther Allison
Albert Collins
Johnny Winter

A few more modern incredible guitar players:

Walter Trout
Albert Castiglia
Tab Benoit
Sean Costello
Michael Burks
Albert Cummings
Lil’ Ed and the Blues Imperials

There SO MANY more great Blues artists. Have fun!

Since you have so many acoustic blues artists… I’ll just add a couple/few that seemed to me to be “missing”. Of course if I think about it more and add electric, it would get longer… but standing out to me immediately I’d suggest

Pink Anderson
Rev. Gary Davis
Sonny Terry (and or not-and Brownie McGhee)
