Why do the voices sound robotic when the person is further away from the camera on YouTube Videos? Is it my amp or the headphones?
It’s probably on their end lol
But every video sounds like that when the camera is further away from the person they are filming
Unusual observation. What comes to my mind is the so called proximity effect. People seem to have deeper voices when a microphone is kept near person’s mouth - explained in that video. Maybe this lack of depth makes you perceive voices as robotic?
Other things that come to my mind and maybe have some influence on this robotic voice effect are various sound manipulations (like reverb, compression, eq) and microphones absorbing more reflections (e.g. sound bouncing off the wall) when person is away from a microphone.
are you referring to YT music videos only ir any YT video you listen to?
It’s when i l watch Vlogs on Youtube
