XLR interface + amp/dac

Hi guys

I have a razer seiren x microphone i am not satisfied with the quality of the microphone. I’m thinking of going for XLR, would an interface like Scarlet Solo be enough as an amp / dac for some HD 6xx and some Dt 880 250 ohms? Does anyone have an opinion?

No, it won’t be enough. It’s not a powerful amp/dac at all and struggles to even drive a 58x jubilee it’s practically on the same level as a cheaper onboard audio as far as power is concerned. I own the Scarlet solo Gen 3 for my xlr microphone setup. You would want a seperate amp/dac unit for amplification or just a straight amp as you can still use the scarlett as a dac

Can’t really speak on it’s accuracy I just know for certain the power of the scarlett I have. I thought the same thing when I had first bought the 58x jubilee and 250 ohm dt 990. Wasn’t powerful enough and what led to me buying the Monoprice Liquid Spark
