Xlr mic with current amp/dac setup

I currently have a Monolith 124459 dac/amp setup and I want to get a new mic to replace my old usb mic now that I have a new desk and more room. I was planning to get a xlr dynamic and I know I could just get a Motu M2 or even simpler a wave xlr to really connect the mic. Use the dac/amp for my headphones, the other for the mic and just be done. However, I think I wouldn’t be able to use the monitoring features. What I wanted to know, is can I create a setup to use the mic and a sidetone monitor feature alongside my current audio setup? So I can hear everything through what I have now instead of basically just plugging the headphones into the mic interface.

I have a set up like this but with a different AMP. I use the iFi Zen Air Can. But use the Moto M2.
The M2 has monitor line outs you can send into the Monolith and can function as your direct monitors. I have set up mine that basically turned the M2 into a DAC.

Using the Monolith 124459 with the M2 while having monitoring would mean the M2 serves as the DAC and the Monolith only as an amplifier.
