Isn h50 is superior than Cannon?
Maybe a more balanced sidegrade for different tuning both are wonderful, but personally I would pick up the H50 more. The H50 hits more of my desired sound preferences.
What I most remember about the H50 is the 8KHz peak seemed out of proportion to the rest. Amidst the rest of its profile snare hits and cymbals were too intense for my taste. It was a while ago so I donāt know how much I can say this second part with surety, but I feel timbre wasnāt quite right for my ears either.
I would agree regarding the peak - which is strange when combined with the subdued upper reaches, but seems to consequently achieve really good technicalities. Unfortunately then, it appears that I am not the only one, where, the timbre presents as off.
Still one of only a clutch of top performers in that no manās land price bracket. And definately something more unique so complimentary for the collection as @ToneDeafMonk alludes to
Totally agree with the comments on the H50. Is super tip sensitive and took a while to get the correct tip for me to bring the perfect balance.
I ended up with the Softears UC tips.
Combination of stiff stem and soft dome was perfect.
In a sea of harmanish V tunings with vocal forward presentations the H50 is a welcome breathe of fresh air.
Why you gotta tell me that / probably the only tips I havenāt tried with themā¦ AliExpress here we go again
Iāve had my eyes on these tips for so long but Iāve just never been able to bring my self to pull the trigger. What would you say they change about the sound? Im always looking for tips for the Monarchās and Iāve about to spend $20 on a pair of tips, itāll be for the Monarchās. The only way I can justify it
The UC tips keep the bass and i find the vocals stay strong and stage is great
Maybe tame the highs just a tad.
They normally dont work for me as the Medium is just a bit small and the L just a bit big, but the H50 nozzel is massive so the M streach to L and still keeps the core shape without going to narrow. Now ML LOL
Thanks for the insight brother, Iāll look into em. I think the mediums would work for me on the monarchās nozzle, since it is pretty large and my ear canals are small (according to my doctor). We shall see - now itās just getting my self to pony up the cash.
Another review of the Canon:
I havenāt listened to these much over the past month or so due to the EA500 being my day to day iem but listening to these this morning whilst doing house work brings so much joy to my ears. Might have to consider buying the soon to be released aur audio aurora
Happy listening allā¦ā¦.
Yanyin Canon 2 - electric boogaloo
Seems updated DD and now two tuning switches instead of 3
Anyone going to take a punt?
The originals are stunning in the looks department, but this new faceplateā¦ Now that is one gorgeous colour combination! Pity they didnāt keep the shell the same colour as the faceplate, like the original
ā1 Biological Dynamic Driverā I wonder if they use plants for the DD or if is made with microorganisms
Maybe they smudge a booger onto it and call it a day!
Bio driver can mean anything from Wood (JVC FW iems), Paper (Moondrop B2) to Nanofiber (Denon headphones).
Canon had bio diaphragm before, so I donāt think thatās changed. Or theyāve changed the type of bio diaphragm.
While I really enjoyed Canon OG, Iām not a big fan of iterating just because. I wish they had produced a killer 1+1 or just a good DD.
Love my OG still a bit pricey for todays market.
The reception for the Yanyin Canon 2 Electric Boogaloo doesnāt seem as nearly universal as the OG canon. Iāve been jamming tonight for the past 3 hours and probably decided to retire with these and the EA500.
I was very tempted to buy the OG the other day when I saw it on sale. Pretty sure it would suit me amazingly! To me the OG seemed more versatile and looks super comfy. Not sure why they reiterate something that was perfectly fine, then slap a higher price tag ontop
