Your Top 5 IEMs right now that you are using?

I bought a E20 set as well to compare but they don’t graph the same. So it will be interesting

Jay talked about it in a video, and while he said without EQ, the bass doesn’t go as deep ( but really what does? ), overall he liked it for the money.

It might be a catch and release, but that is fine at that price point.

I agree that the MagicOne is not sibilant for me.

Honestly, probably one of the most solid line-ups I’ve seen in a while. Not a single Kilobuck set in sight and still killing it.

I liked the Legacy 2’s upper midrange since it doesn’t have a dip at around 10 kHz. The lack of a 10 kHz dip made the music sound more lively. The Legacy 2 doesn’t have any air but I don’t care since I am 60 and can’t hear any air.

I snagged the deuce when it was at the original 200 dollar price and it is def a fun set. I am not sure about the e20, but I recall people saying it was better and cheaper than the deuce. It was frustrating to see that because from all the reviews I have seen, I never really see people try to EQ a cheaper IEM to make it sound like a more expensive IEM. At the end of the day, like most in the community would say… enjoy what you have and don’t start to dwell over the what ifs.

I thought about getting Blessing 3 during 11/11, but the reviews are so mixed that I just couldn’t do it. How would you describe the sound? The people who dislike it say it’s very thin sounding & has no bass.

They might not have had a good seal with the ear tips. I wouldn’t call it a bassy iem at all. It is a well-balanced iem that you can eq with Crin’s eq that brings it closer to the Dusk. When the song has bass, they will deliver.

The Dusk has a more bassy tuning.

All said I didn’t think I’d find a better-sounding iem and was nervous to pull the trigger on a more expensive iem that I thought would only be a small bump in overall performance. They blessing 3 is that good.

Thanks, yeah there are some good not nutty expensive sets. The Tea2 is still the most I have spent on a set at $330.

The 7Hz Timeless is the only set over $200 in my collection, that I don’t listen to regularly, and it is still a solid pick, just a bit brighter than I prefer.

That is my take also (with a good seal).
Dusk sounds great however but fitness an issue for me.

I got that one too!
It’s good stock but I added 2dB of bass in the Creative app.

This will soon change when new acquisitions arrive :smiling_imp:

how would you describe Elua? I’m thinking of coping the E20 myself on black friday :eyes:

Elua is a budget basshead set with great bass, good techs, comfy shell. It’s sparkly in the upper treble but not bright or shouty or sibilant. The stage depth is really impressive, especially for the price.
It has both sub-bass rumble and mid-bass impact.
Versatile and amazing for Techno and Hip-hop.
The cable is decent for the price but could be better.

  • ThieAudio Origin - This set is so good it’s not funny anymore. That BCD gives it just that little bit of extra spice to take it beyond excellent.
  • Aful P8 - This is still my benchmark set. I absolutely adore the technicalities on this set.
  • HBBxKiwi Ears Punch - This thing is so much fun. Even with that amount of bass there seems to be little compromise on the rest of the frequency curve.
  • Dunu SA6 mkII - Still the most enjoyable BA only set, that I’ve heard to date. (the MagicOne comes close though)
  • Tangzu YuXuanJi - This one caught me by surprise. The more expensive Tangzu’s never managed to wet my willy. (I keep the dissapointment called Nezha around to remind me of this). But for $50 this set is incredible. Dethonray nailed it with the tuning on this one. Also the space that is created with the semi-open design (I think?) works really well.

Honorable mention:
Aful Explorer - I can see why this (over)hyped so much. It’s comfortable and easygoing. I can just sink back in my chair, turn into a puddle and listen for hours on end with this set in my ears.

My conclusion as well. Would love to try the Origin someday.
