Your Top 5 IEMs right now that you are using?

I think for the big price difference it should be. I have not and probably will never hear them, but was just going based on the similarities from the graph.

Agreed. I would never bother with that. Iā€™m not even curious about it at that price.

Alright an another update on my current Top 5 and I must say, itā€™s been a surprising shift, for me at least.

1.) Hidizs x WDC MP145 - This set is a surprise for me and the very first Hidizs product that I ever got. The seller wasnā€™t kidding, this set is a bang for your buck for its given price and in some way more technically impressive than my Letshouer S08, which is the main IEM that I have been using a lot.

2.) Letshuoer S08 - Officially the 2nd set that I use most of the time, only being overtaken by the MP145. Both sets I think have similar tuning, but the MP145 has grown on me to like it even more than this set due to many factors where it performs better than the S08. Itā€™s still one of the best planars though for its given price.

3.) Simgot EA1000 - Not gonna lie, this set during its earlier days and stage, it really took a long time for it to grow on me due to its stock tuning a bit hot for my tastes. But after many months of me using this particular IEM and as well as experimenting with the tuning nozzles, I have grown to appreciate this set, despite it being an improvement to some or a disappointment to some.

4.) Tangzu X HBB Wu Zetian Heyday Edition - Yeah, this one I am afraid when it comes to the love and listening sessions that I used to have with this is going away, for I only seldom use this IEM from time to time lately. Still a good set but I think this one is just being overtaken by two planars that I have.

5.) Truthear Gate - Still my beater set and yes I have been frequently using this IEM when thereā€™s a day for me to go out or go to a place where there is an event happening with me, my family and friends. I still like it though despite it not so much of an overall improvement over the Holas.

Itā€™s my favourite. Most engaging IEM Iā€™ve heard.

  1. Estrella
  2. SuperMix 4
  3. Z300
  4. IE200
  5. OH10

Iā€™m about to order a ZE51B. I think it may take the top spotā€¦

  1. Estrella - I take these out with me literally everywhere. Time to go to work? Grab the Estrella. Need to go to the store? Grab the Estrella. Need to do the dishes? Grab the Estrella. Iā€™ve only grown to love them even more over time. So engaging.

  2. Symphonium Titans - the most engaging IEM I own and probably the most engaging that Iā€™ve ever heard. I simply love the way these are tuned. If the fit was better, I would just take these with me everywhere.

  3. Monarch MK2 - these are still the king (or queen) of my lineup when I want sweet vocals and literally perfect timbre (for my preferences). The timbre and tonality hit me in a way where the softer mid bass doesnā€™t even bother me anymore. The low end on my pair is pretty thick and powerful so they come off more as a warm and perfectly balanced set with softer transients in the low end with treble thatā€™s perfect for longer sessions and unbelievably realistic vocals in both timbre and texture/detail.

  4. Aful Explorer - another one of my ā€œgrab and goā€ sets, theyā€™re just so comfortable and easy going. I also use them for gaming because Iā€™ve learned their imaging is actually pretty stellar. Not razor sharp, but definitely not blurry.

  5. Tangzu OG Wu - Iā€™ve had these for a while, havenā€™t picked them up in forever, but I grabbed them to take with me to work the other day and also grabbed the Fosi DS2 and holy crapā€¦ the synergy was off the charts. No EQ needed.

Damn.

My lineup is absolutely stacked. I donā€™t think I have a single hole I need to fillā€¦ idk if this is ā€œEndgameā€, I think thatā€™s hyperbole because Iā€™ll end up buying another IEM in the future, 100% but honestly, I donā€™t need anything at the moment.

I donā€™t ā€œNeedā€ anything either, but I have wants

I accept Iā€™m greedy like thatā€¦

Thatā€™s a fair pointā€”nothing I listed was a need, thatā€™s for sure. I guess I should have said that I donā€™t ā€œreally wantā€ anything. I have my curiosities, thatā€™s for sure.

One thing Iā€™ve never done and never will do: Smoke in a bathtub like The Dude.

Always afraid Iā€™ll fall asleep and drown. Seriously!

Iā€™ve pretty much just been listening to the AFUL Explorers and Plunge Unity

Through a BTR7 lately.

Bases covered!

Iā€™m glad I revisited the Explorers.

Here are my top five IEMs which I listen to.

Aful Performer 5+2 aka the Performer 7. The P7 has noticeable improvements over P5 which Aful is discontinuing. The P7 still sounds very natural with its improvements, just as the P5 is a very natural sounding IEM. I still love the P5 even though I love the P7 even more.

Dunu DaVinci. I really like the DaVinci after I got the DaVinciā€™s bass to sound natural after installing Tangzu Tang Sancai Wide Bore eartips.

Aful Performer 5. I love the P7, yet for the time being I am more familiar with the P5ā€™s sound. Familiarity leads to comfort.

Kefine Delci. I listen to the Delci quite a lot for more casual listening. I also grab the Delci to take with me when I am away from home. I love the Delciā€™s deep copper colored cable since the cable strikes a very nice balance between a light enough weight versus durability.

Aful MagicOne. The MagicOne easily replaces the Truthear Hola as my ideal chill pill IEM which I want to listen to when I am tired and want to totally relax. I also like the MagicOne for orchestra music.

I am happy those hit with you. It seems like tip rolling was a thing with them.

  1. I think if I could only keep one right now, the Explorer might be the one.
  2. Ziigaat Doscinco would be the other candidate.
  3. Xenns Mangird Tea
  4. Xenns Tea MK2
  5. HBB x FF Deuce

Honorable mention - Letshuoer S08

I have a Sivga Que in the mail, and am in the honeymoon with the Aful MagicOne.

I am curious about the Sivga Que. Are there any things about the Explorer which are captivating you?

Explorer is just different. It is dark and warm, but still has the details you need. The bass is satisfying in ways that havenā€™t existed at this price point. They are comfortable enough to wear all day, with an all day tuning. They scale well with power and volume.

Aful is doing some magic to avoid even hints of sibilance, which is easy on something as dark as Explorer. The MagicOne also does this, despite being a much brighter tuning.

I was a very very big fan of the Orchestra Lite when I finally heard it, so I guess my hope is that the Magicone is in some way or other similar.

Cue is a very interesting beast. I enjoyed it when I tried it out

I am a beryllium fan as well, there is lush tonality to the bass with them, which not only got me to try Que, but I also snagged the AOSHIDA E20. The Kiwi Ears Cadenza, and Artti R1 were also beryllium. If you were in the hobby long enough ago, so is the THIEAUDIO Legacy 2, which was the best under $100 before the Aria came along and ate that space.

The E20 is that budget set that graphs like the Deuce, so I was curious just hear if that was true, because they were $45. I like Deuce but donā€™t take IEMs that expensive to work.

I believe it can graph like the Deuce with EQ - stock it doesnā€™t resemble it. I might be wrong.
