Zen Dac V2 + Zen Can + Sundara + AIYIMA A08 amp simultaneously

Hi, I recently bought a Zen Dac V2 . My plan is to use with Hifiman Sundara Headphones. The Zen Dac V2 is powered through USB from my Desktop PC. I am planning to buy the Zen Can as well, so the Sundara will get a bit more power. I also have a AIYIMA A08 amp for my passive speakers. My question is: If I hook up the Zen Dac V2 to the Zen Can with a balanced cable, can I still simultaneously use the RCA-out from the Zen Dac to my Aiyma Amp to power my passive speakers? And will this affect the sound of my Headphones if I connect them unbalanced (or balanced) to my Zen Can?

from the DAC should be no problem. it’s headphone amps that don’t usually send out both simultaneously. some do, like the Jot 2, but it’s very much the exception.

thanks for your answer. But the Zen Dac is also a headpone (pre)Amp…not a single Dac

I should have thot of that being I have the Zen DAC too. guess I thot you had the signature DAC when you said you mentioned the CAN, which, funny enough, I also have. :stuck_out_tongue:
