I would have to just repeat what @db_Cooper said about Chi-Fi. I feel like there’s more competitive stuff within Chi-Fi, I’m not willing to write off something just because it’s cheap and made in China anymore.

Guess I should have been more specific when I said the BL-03 and B8 destroy a lot of higher end stuff, I was talking about stuff that would reasonably compete with them by larger brand names like Sennheiser, B&W, AKG, Sony, ext. Now if you were comparing BL-03 to stuff by UE, Campfire, Empire, ext… that’s a bit ridiculous.
I mean I would take a guideray gri over the 03, or stuff like an oh10 or something like that / higher up, but that’s mainly just preference, same regarding the blon b8, as I personally prefer the CAL or k371 or 770 or something like that / higher up
I’m not dissing the blons here but I don’t really think they compete over the 100 range, but they are pretty awesome, but I do think the blons have been getting a bit too much hype behind them lol
Okay I see where you’re coming from. I own the CALs as well, they’re some voodoo for how cheap they are.
I think it’s just the problem with hype, I went into the BL-03 specifically thinking they’d be just okay. I was so pleasantly surprised they’re my daily drivers for now. Like I think if we directly compared Sennheiser HD 569 to BLON B8, B8s outdo them in nearly every way at almost half the price, but everyone makes exceptions because its Sennheiser.
I just try to ignore hype nowadays from Zeos or anyone, but chances are if it’s cheap enough I’ll buy it, give it away, or sell it. Probably not the best way to function but… hey… it is what is. lol
